What To Do If The System Forces You To Exercise Ch. 13

Chapter 13- Words left by the film princess?!

Wang Anyi hung up the phone with a cold expression on her face and walked out of the police station. Feeling a headache coming on, she wearily rubbed her temples.

Earlier, when she had received Lin Yunxi’s report during the chase, suddenly a large group of Little Su’s fans came out of nowhere. They didn’t know who leaked the news, but she suspected that it was the certain pervert they were trying to apprehend. If it wasn’t for her quick reactions and directions, they would’ve been surrounded. If the fans knew that the only people in the car were the agent and driver, but not Little Su, it would’ve caused a riot to break out. Then they would block roads and start searching for their idol, which naturally would’ve caused even more trouble.

With the news out, she could only hope to at least repair some of the damage. So she thought about it, and then pretending to be Little Su, she posted a photo of the school on her Weibo. Under it, she wrote that because she, Su Chenyu, was feeling nostalgic, so that’s why she was visiting her school and its surroundings.

The moment she posted the picture, countless comments replied popped up. However, Wang Anyi didn’t bother reading them. After all, this happened everytime and Little Su insisted on reading the comments herself, saying that they gave her inspiration or something. On the other hand, Wang Anyi didn’t care, as long as the comments weren’t too vulgar, she was fine with them.

After turning a few circles to shake off the fans, they had arrived at the narrow alley. The bodyguards already had the person tied up and without saying anything, they put the person into the trunk and drove to the police station. With the person in question and the evidence they had, it wasn’t hard to convince the police to arrest the man.

But when the police looked up the man’s identity, they found that this tall and thin man was a 17-year-old who was not even an adult yet. They had mistaken him as an adult because his face was covered and his height was one of a grown man’s.

Since he was underage, they couldn’t put him in custody nor give him a sentence. However, if one thought about it for a second, the letters started showing up around six years ago. That meant, the boy had to be eleven years old when this all started. Such a young boy couldn’t do something like this for six years. Furthermore, after the boy woke up, Wang Anyi took one look at his confused expression and knew they had the wrong person. Therefore, they couldn’t do anything but hand him over to the police for further questioning.

So regarding all those strange situations and letters, Wang Anyi could only helplessly return to the car and quickly leave before anyone takes a photo of them.

Sitting in the car, she felt quite annoyed at Lin Yunxi for not reporting to her afterward. She had to call her before she learned they were actually hiding in the university. When she heard this, she got even angrier.

What kind of place is the university? A place full of young and hot-headed kids! If they were found out, the consequences would be unthinkable! Furthermore, how many Su Chenyu fans are there among those kids? If you randomly pulled out 10 students, all of them would be a fan! If they get surrounded it would be hard to break out and they actually dared to hide in a place like that!

Standing in front of the dorms, the time was around 10 pm, but the curfew should be 11 pm. Therefore, there were not many students going in or out. Wang Anyi covered her face with a mask and walked up to the window where the Auntie in charge was working.

“Excuse me, but I need to go to room 366.”

“Go ahead.” The Auntie glanced at Wang Anyi for a moment and then waved her hand to let her through.

Eh…it’s that easy?! Isn’t the security here a little too relaxed? Wang Anyi felt a little shocked, but in the next moment she saw Auntie’s eyes narrow and her hand slammed the table fiercely. The Auntie lifted the megaphone next to her and roared furiously at the boys trying to sneak in by using the bushes as cover,

“You rascals over there! Are you asking for trouble! If you boys want to get in here so badly, prepare for me to send you all the way to Thailand! Every day it’s the same thing, don’t you get bored of it?!! You bastards, don’t think I don’t know who you are! Go home and write a thousand-page essay, reflect on your actions! I expect it on my desk tomorrow!” Watching the boys scatter like mice, the Auntie tsked and then said,

“Hmph, although I’m older now, my eyes still haven’t gone bad! This old woman’s vision is still 20/20 and after thirty years, not a single male has entered these halls! Do they think all these years of work are worth nothing?!” She then looked at Wang Anyi still standing next to her,

“Miss, what’s wrong? Why haven’t you gone in yet?”

“Ah? Y-Yes….” Wang Anyi nodded, throwing away all her doubts. It seems I was disrespectful…you really can’t judge a person by their appearance. As an agent, I made a grave mistake.

Walking to the room that Lin Yunxi mentioned, Wang Anyi passed by many students, but none of them paid much attention to her. After all, as an agent, she was trained to reduce attention towards her. The way of the perfect agent was to be as low-key as possible.

She knocked gently on the door.

“Who is it?” Coming out of the bathroom, Li Lingmeng opened the door and saw a masked lady standing outside, someone that seemed very capable. With just one glance, she could guess who this is.

“Please come in.”

“Thanks.” Wang Anyi nodded and walked in.

“Hahahaha….” Laughing like she didn’t care about her image, Lin Yunxi was eating skewers while pointing at the TV. A variety show was playing and she laughed wildly at the comedian on stage. Next to her was a small table with a pile of empty plates stacked upon each other. Looking at the numerous different types, Wang Anyi could tell that the food was meant for many more people than the one present. Little Su, did you find another fellow foodie? They really can eat.

Then she turned to look at the person in question. Su Chenyu was gently stroking a girl’s head, causing her to widen her eyes in shock. Su Chenyu didn’t like to interact with strangers, but why did she like this girl so much? What happened while I was away?

“Hahaha….cough! Sister Wang….” Lin Yunxi turned around to see an extra person in the room and almost choked on the meat in her mouth. She coughed multiple times while vigorously pounding her chest.

“H-hello…” Seeing someone new enter, Wen Jiexi took this chance to hurry away from Su Chenyu’s hand and picked up the remote to turn down the TV’s volume.

“Hello, thank you for taking care of Little Su and Yunxi.” Wang Anyi peeled off her mask and smiled at Wen Jiexi. At the same time, she quickly looked the girl up and down and realized that this girl’s beauty was on par with Su Chenyu. The appearance and figure both were pretty good, except the chest area was a little small…

Wen Jiexi: “…..” Why do I feel so miserable all of a sudden….

“Sister Wang, you’ve finally arrived.” Su Chenyu didn’t say anything about Wen Jiexi dodging her hand, her expression still the same as she withdrew her hand and nodded at Wang Anyi.

“Even if I didn’t come, it seems like you two would’ve been fine staying here?” Wang Anyi rolled her eyes, thinking about how she was working so hard cleaning everything up, but these two were eating and having fun here.

“Hahaha, Sister Wang, how can that be? We’ve been eagerly waiting for you to pick us up.” Lin Yunxi laughed awkwardly.

“Heh, you were waiting for me? Really? But someone forgot to call me and tell me where their location was.” Upon hearing Lin Yunxi’s unapologetic expression, Wang Anyi felt annoyed and walked over. She then proceeded to roughly rub Lin Yunxi’s head and mess up her hair.

Lin Yunxi: Wuwuwuwuwu….

“Sister Wang, feel free to sit down and eat something. If this isn’t enough for you, we still have some cookies left.” Li Lingmeng walked over with a smile while holding a bag they haven’t opened yet. She dumped out the contents and out came packs of potato chips, cookies, dried squid, jerky, spick snacks, and other salty goods. There were even a dozen lollipops, jelly, fudge, etc.

“Uh…no need, I can just eat what’s left over.” Wang Anyi glanced at the large portion of food sitting next to her. She didn’t mind picking up a bunch of skewers and eating them directly. She had been working all night and hadn’t eaten dinner yet, so of course she was hungry. And since if even Little Su ate it, she couldn’t be picky.

The originally good at communication Wang Anyi and the talkative Li Lingmeng quickly entered a conversation together. Eventually, Lin Yunxi who was scolded by Wang Anyi also joined them, leaving Wen Jiexi on the other side to watch the three of them in amusement. Today was pretty exciting. I never thought I’d meet such a famous celebrity and even get to know them. Previously I thought she was someone I would never even see in person and yet she is sitting next to me. It’s like something straight from a drama. It was only later that Wen Jiexi would understand how this fateful event would affect her future.

Turning around, she glanced at the film princess who sat on the bed. Su Chenyu did not participate in the conversations and instead was reading a book while she sat on the bed. Wen Jiexi didn’t know if it was a book for casual reading or a script for a film, but Su Chenyu quietly read it. The aura surrounding her did not conflict with the noisy atmosphere around her but instead made Su Chenyu pop out more. Wen Jiexi felt a little stunned looking at her, she had never met a person like Su Chenyu who seemed so…special.

“What are you looking at?” A voice ringed out and Wen Jiexi shook herself out of her daze. She didn’t know when it had happened, but Su Chenyu’s eyes were now focused on her. Feeling embarrassed, Wen Jiexi lowered her head and whispered,

“N-nothing..sorry to bother you.”

“Is that so? Hmm…are you interested in films?” Su Chenyu gently closed the book in her hand and waved it in front of Wen Jiexi. This was a script given to her for a film she would be taking part in the day after tomorrow.

“I wouldn’t say I’m interested. I’ve watched a few dramas with Little Meng before, and I’ve always felt surprised that they weren’t as boring as I thought. The plot and characters create a realistic feeling that makes you feel as if you were in the drama yourself, a very novel experience.” Wen Jiexi thought about it and smiled.

“Do you want to enter the entertainment industry?” Su Chenyu asked, her eyebrows raised.

“Enter the industry?” Wen Jiexi froze, then shook her head,

“No, I’ve never thought of doing something like that.”

Although all young people had dreamt of being a star and standing on the stage, she had never had this dream. First, it’s because she knew that one had to possess a certain talent to enter the industry. Second, they also need to have the luck to land a good role the moment they enter. With such high hurdles to jump over, achieving the dream of being a superstar was close to impossible. Furthermore, so many young boys and girls enter the industry but only a few ever make it to stardom while most fail. In fact, after they enter, most can never return to their normal lives and are reduced to nameless actors and actresses, forever forced into the roles of extras.

Wen Jiexi understood that life was full of surprises and unexpected events, but she only wanted to live a steady and stable life, one where her family didn’t have to worry about her. Although she possessed good looks, who would want a profession where they can fall from grace instantly and where others fight for limited spots? Wasn’t that just asking for trouble?

This was how she thought of the industry, and even if her circumstances have changed, she wouldn’t suddenly change her previous stance. Therefore, she could only shake her head at Su Chenyu’s question.

“Everyone had at least once in their life wanted to stand on the stage of stardom, and yet you don’t want any of that. Admirable, but remember, don’t let yourself be held back by the what-ifs. Sometimes it’s a good idea to take a look into a different world. Who knows, maybe you’ll see something there you’ve never expected before.” Su Chenyu placed the script back into her bag as she said those words and stood without waiting for Wen Jiexi’s reply.

“It’s time for us to say goodbye. Thank you for your help and hospitality. If you need anything from us in the fire, don’t hesitate to contact us.” Saying so, Su Chenyu scribed down her personal phone number on a piece of paper lying on the table and then led Wang Anyi and Lin Yunxi out the door.

Li Lingmeng walked the three to the door, her expression full of reluctance. Wen Jiexi stared at the leaving people in a daze, her ears filled with the last words Su Chenyu had whispered into her ears,

I hope you’ll at least think about my suggestion. If you do, maybe we will meet again one day.”

…..I will see her again? Wen Jiexi was at a loss.
