“Ha…thank you…” Hong Qingyi answered in a monotone. How is this okay?!! Tonight I will be relentlessly questioned about this and that, it’ll be so annoying!!!

“Ah, that’s right, I almost forgot! Tomorrow you will move in with me!” Chi Mengyan dropped such a bomb with a charming smile.

“Do you have any questions?After all, you are my secretary!” Chi Mengyan said leisurely and started playing with Hong Qingyi’s hair. 

“Just because I’m your secretary doesn’t mean we have to live together!”

“What are you talking about? As my personal secretary, it’s your job to stay by my side all the time, right?” Chi Mengyan especially emphasized the word ‘personal’ in her sentence and then looking at the panicked expression on her little sheep’s face, she felt pleased.

“A secretary only needs to stay by their superior’s side during work hours! Where in the job description did it say about us living together!”

“But…” Chi Mengyan searched around and then grabbed a piece of paper. 

“Look at this! It clearly has your signature on the dotted line!”

“What…” Hong Qingyi grabbed the piece of paper, it seemed really familiar for some reason. It was the contract she signed during the interview! At that time, she was too focused on her wifey’s pretty smile and didn’t look at the terms clearly before signing. Hong Qingyi looked through each line intensely and the more she looked, the more scared (excited?) she became.

“Alright, now that’s done, you should pack up your things tonight! You can start living at my place tomorrow.” Chi Mengyan clapped her hands together and decided that was the end of discussion (however, there never was one in the first place). 

「Female supporting lead’s favorability rating has increased by (10) and is currently at (40)」

And so, like this, time passed in the office where one person can be seen looking through documents in a serious manner, but glancing at the annoyed girl in her arms from time to time. 

Meanwhile, Gu Anran had returned to Mu Qingli’s office, her mind still preoccupied with the earlier scene. Ahhhh, how did those two get together so fast?!! Could it be that Hong Qingyi was able to raise Little Yan’s rating by a large margin in one go?? Otherwise, how can they be like this! Unfair, so unfair! I’m still only at a measly 35!

“Little Ran….Little Ran…” Mu Qingli called a few times, but no response. Strange, didn’t she come back already? Mu Qingli raised her head and saw the dazed Gu Anran. Then she looked at the clock and saw it was noon. Maybe she’s hungry?

Shifting the files on her desk, Mu Qingli walked over and patted Gu Anran on the shoulder. 

“Ah! Littl-…Vice President Mu, what’s wrong?” Gu Anran almost jumped out her chair, frightened by the sudden movement. 

“Let’s go get some lunch!” Mu Qingli answered. 

“Lunch?” Gu Anran looked down at the watch on her hand. It’s noon already? 

“What does Vice President Mu want to eat?”

“Hmm? Let’s go eat at the cafeteria downstairs.”

“Well….ok.” Gu Anran stood and walked out with Mu Qingli. 

The two entered the elevator together and Mu Qingli pressed the button for the 20th floor. While going down, they met up with Chi Mengyan and Hong Qingyi, and their party of two became a party of four.

The Mu Company’s cafeteria had a variety of dishes, all free of charge for their employees. In addition to a Western Buffet, there was also Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cuisine. 

The four decided to sit at a corner near the window. This was for the convenience of the other employees, to not let them feel pressured by the Vice President’s presence. It was also because Mu Qingli didn’t like being the center of attention. Of course, she couldn’t avoid it due to her position, but she could at least choose where she wanted to sit. 

“What does Vice President Mu want to eat?” Gu Anran asked. 

“You can choose for me, I’m not picky.” Mu Qingli shook her head. 

“Little Yi Yi, help me grab my food for me!” Chi Mengyan hooked her arms around Hong Qingyi and laughed.

“Eh…I-I understand.” Hong Qingyi pulled her arm away and quickly followed Gu Anran. She nodded once at Mu Qingli and then left. 

“So, did you finish investigating them? Your little cutie and my little sheep.” Chi Mengyan leaned back against her chair. 

“En….they’re not one of her people, and their backgrounds are clean. And based on her clumsy and usual tactics, it’s impossible for her to offer up people with that clean of a background.” Mu Qingli watched the two people in question. 

“Is that so~” Chi Mengyan chuckled and stared at her little sheep. Hehe, so that means I can eat you up with no worries, hehehe…

“Brrr….”

“What’s wrong?” Gu Anran looked at the suddenly shivering Hong Qingyi and raised an eyebrow. 

“N-Nothing, I just felt something cold blowing on my back earlier. Must be my imagination.” Hong Qingyi rubbed her arms and whispered. 

“I see…so what happened between the two of you earlier?” Gu Anran leaned forward, eager for some gossip. 

“Don’t even mention it again, it was all a misunderstanding.” Hong Qingyi replied. 

“Oh~ A misunderstanding~” Who would believe that! Gu Anran pouted. 

“It’s true!” Seeing Gu Anran’s expression, Hong Qingyi felt helpless.

“Oh, I need to tell you something. Tomorrow I will move in with Yan Yan.”

“Ohhh, so you’re even moving in with her and you insist it’s a misunderstanding! 

Hong Qingyi: “…” Could she tell Gu Anran that while she was obsessing over Chi Mengyan she signed a contract that sold her soul? No! That would be too shameful, damn it! I will definitely be laughed at! I must never reveal this ugly history of mine! 

After going through all the options, the two decided to order four bowls of noodles and then went over to the buffet to pick a few side dishes. Just as the two finished, the crisp and sharp sounds of high heels walking on a hard surface rang out throughout the entire cafeteria. Even in this noisy cafeteria, it can clearly be heard, a telling sign of how high the heels were and how fast the person was walking. 

The originally loud cafeteria suddenly became silent. It seemed everyone knew who the owner of those shoes was and most of them had a look of disgust on their faces. 

So who is this person whose footsteps are getting closer and louder? Finally, the doors to the cafeteria were pushed open and a woman walked in. She had a beautiful face but it was twisted with arrogance. A person’s first impression of the girl could be summed up into one word: spoiled. 

「Attention! The female villain, Mu Qingyan, has appeared!」

The female villain is the half-sister of the female lead. Jealous of her sister’s position as the heir of the company and her business skills, Mu Qingyan tried to thwart her sister in everything she did. However….you can’t even compare to even a 1/1000 of my wife’s beauty! And I’m telling the truth! The only thing good about you is your boobs….which are as big as a female cow! Why, if I had breasts that big, I would think my center of gravity would be messed up! How can she walk that fast? She must’ve really practiced a lot!

Not far away, Mu Qingli watched at Gu Anran continued to stare intently at her half-sister, Mu Qingyan’s….breasts. She couldn’t help but look down at her own D-cup sized breasts. Does Little Ran like bigger chests? Does she like to bury her face in those big chests too? She then looked at Chi Mengyan’s and then back at her own…well, we’re about the same.

Uh…why does my back suddenly feel so cold? First Hong Qingyi and now her. Could it be that the AC is turned on? 

 Mu Qingyan glanced around the cafeteria and quickly locked onto her target. “Ah~ If it isn’t my perfect big sister, the Vice President of our Mu Company.” She walked over to Mu Qingli, and immediately started mocking with a sarcastic tone. 

If it was like usual, then Mu Qingli might’ve done a perfunctory nod, but today she felt really unhappy towards this ‘sister’ of hers and ignored Mu Qingyan. 

The short-tempered Mu Qingyan saw that Mu Qingli didn’t even bother greeting her, couldn’t help but scream, 

“Mu Qingli! Don’t be so arrogant just because you are the Vice President! Not everything is set in stone yet!” 

“So is Manager Mu saying that you have the qualifications to be Vice President instead?” Chi Mengyan sneered, purposely putting an emphasis on the difference in their positions. 

“You-!”

“Vice President, Manager Chi, lunch is ready.” Gu Anran and Hong Qingyi walked over with their food and set them on the table. 

“Ha, so you even lower yourself to eat a commoner’s meal and something that looks like kitchen waste. For you to be able to eat that disgusting food and sit in such a foul setting, Mu Qingli, you must really be a lowborn.” Mu Qingyan looked at her surroundings with repulsion and brushed her sleeves as if something dirty had gotten onto them. 

Ahhh…this was really inviting hatred onto herself. If this kind of person became the Vice President, all the employees would probably resign immediately. It would be too pitiful to work under her. Gu Anran thought as she looked at the anger on the faces of the employees around her.

“Mu Qungyan, if you don’t want to be here, then get out.” Mu Qingli frowned. She didn’t want Little Ran to encounter anything bad during her first day at work. She wanted to leave a good first impression, but that was completely destroyed by her spoiled little sister. So the usually indifferent Mu Qingli could bear it no longer and finally said something. 

“Yeah, I’m sorry but this lowly cafeteria cannot fit a big Buddha like you, Second Miss Mu. If you don’t want to stay here and if you don’t want our eyes to get injured from looking at you, then you should hurry up and leave.” Chi mengyan supported her chin with one hand and smiled.

“You…Mu Qingli, just you wait! And Chi Mengyan, don’t forget whose company you’re working for! I’ll let you taste the consequences of defying me!” Mu Qingyan finished and then turned around, walking away very quickly.

Bang! 

With a dramatic scream, Second Miss Mu fell forwards violently. She quickly became the laughing stock as the cafeteria was suddenly full of laughter and sounds of suppressed delight. 

Meanwhile, Gu Anran pulled back her foot quietly, smiling with satisfaction. 

“What are you laughing at!” Mu Qingyan roared at the cafeteria around her and then got up. Her now burning red nose and forehead made quite the ridiculous picture. 

Mu Qingyan patted her clothes and then rushed out. However, as a result of her fall, one of her heels was broken, so her right ankle folded on itself. Then everyone heard the crisp sound of a bone breaking.

“Ahhh-” A scream that sounded like a pig getting butchered, Mu Qingyan sat on the ground holding her right foot. Her makeup ruined as snot and tears ran down her face.  

Soon the ambulance came and carried the crying Second Miss away. The moment she left, the cafeteria was filled with chatter again. This showed how much everyone did not like this Second Miss. 

Mu Qingli waved a hand towards Gu Anran and Hong Qingyi.

“Come sit down and eat.”

“Ok!”

“Alright!”

And so, a happy lunch passed…
