“….” Currently, Gu Anran could not figure out the situation in front of her. She sat on the sofa across from Mu Qingli, watching blankly as she drank the coffee she had made for her. 

“Vice President Mu….you…what you just said…what did you mean by it?”

“I meant what I said literally, not figuratively.” Mu Qingli sipped the coffee. Ah….the little cutie’s coffee-making skills are still as good as before….

“Literally….as in….” Gu Anran still felt the situation was a bit unbelievable. 

Hah…why is this little fellow so stupid? She doesn’t even understand something as simple as this. Mu Qingli set down the coffee and repeated her words. 

“Little Ran, I want you to move in with me.” 

Bang! Ba-dump….oh, it’s like an arrow has pierced my heart! My fragile heart! I was confessed to by my wife! I feel so happy, but I’m so embarrassed~

Looking at Gu Anran’s panicked (overjoyed) expression, Mu Qingli felt a little worried. Could it be that she thinks we’re moving a little too fast? (Moving too fast? Have you guys had any progress at all? ←←) Should I have waited for a few more days? I think I’ve scared her/ Mu Qingli began to blame herself. 

“Little Ran, if you don’t want to, then forget it. You don’t need to force-” Mu Qingli was interrupted by Gu Anran before she could finish. 

“Vice President Mu. I am willing, I want to do it. It’s better to say I’m in lo-…cough…” Gu Anran realized she was about to reveal her true feelings and stopped abruptly. She only anxiously scratched her head and didn’t dare to look up. 

However, the previously conflicted Mu Qingli was overjoyed when she heard that Gu Anran agreed, she didn’t pay attention to the words after that. 

“Then I will tell my housekeeper to move your stuff over now.” Mu Qingli said happily, picking up the phone beside her.

Ugh…even if you look at me cutely like that….this isn’t right! There isn’t just a problem, there is a big problem!

“Um…Vice President Mu, I can move everything myself, I don’t want to bother you.” Gu Anran said dryly, remembering the pigsty she is living in. If only Hong Qingyi was still with me! Now that’s it’s only me, I’m too lazy to bother cleaning. My room is so messy that I can’t even bear to look at it directly if my wife saw it, how am I supposed to face her?! Ahhhhh!!!

“But tonight we have to attend a meeting with the Duan Company to work out a negotiation, so you won’t have time to move later.” Mu Qingli said worriedly. 

Duan Company? As in the male lead’s company? If the female lead and supporting female lead both have the same names, then the male lead should still be the same. Even the appearance might be the same and maybe we’ll see the supporting male lead, Song Wenyan too! But that’s not the point right now, I have to escape this situation first!  

“Then….then I’ll move during my vacation.” Gu Anran suggested. 

Vacation….Mu Qingli was about to agree but then remembered what Chi Mengyan had said last night after Gu Anran left.

“ Qingli~You must tie up your little fellow and make sure she never leaves your side as soon as possible~ Since you fancy her, then there are definitely others who like her too! You must know that if men are wolves, then women are even more so! Look at how cute your little fellow is, if she comes here a few more times, she will definitely be snatched away by one of them wolves~ Just look at the doll down there, even she seems interested in your little fellow~ If your little fellow really gets stolen away, don’t come crying to me….you can also try….” Chi Mengyan leaned forward, 

“Try~Acting~Cute~” 

No! I can’t let Little Ran meet that person from the bar again! Acting cute…how do you act cute! Such strange words and incomprehensible meaning, why did I forget to ask Mengyan how to act cute!!

The Gu Anran who was still deep in contemplation, suddenly had her sleeves pulled and saw Mu Qingli with her head bowed as she said, 

“Little….Little Ran~ Can you…can you really not move in today?”

Looking at Mu Qingli’s reddened ears and her fair skin slowly turning red as her eyes began to water…..although her facial expression was still a little stiff, it was…so cute! Mu Qingli saw that Gu Anran had no reaction, she thought her attempt at imitating a little animal while acting cute had failed and could only try again,

“Little Ran~ Please, all right?”

“Ok!” Ah…Gu Anran suddenly wanted to slap herself, why is she so addicted to this beauty, what was she going to do now about her room! But I really want to take a picture and remember this moment forever!

“Yay! Little Ran is the best!” Mu Qingli happily leaned forward and touched Gu Anran’s arm. She didn’t know that her behavior and current expression increased the stimulation. 

Wuoooooo! Wifey! Please change back to your original state! My poor heart can’t take it!

Seeing Gu Anran accepting (frozen + surprised) her advances, she dialed a number,

“Uncle Chen…En…yes, can you please move my secretary’s luggage to my house…yes…I know….”

Just when Mu Qingli was about to hang up, Gu Anran had finally recovered and quickly grabbed her arm…

“This…this…I, uh…Vice President Mu, please give me a half-day off so that I can move my stuff! That way I can tell the housekeeper what they need to move!” Gu Anran calculated it. If she goes, she can ask the housekeeper to wait outside while she cleans up the mess inside. Mu Qingli tilted her head and thought about today’s schedule. Except for the meeting this evening, there was nothing else on the agenda…so…

“Uh…Vice President…I can do this myself, how about you…” Gu Anran was putting up a final fight but was interrupted by Mu Qingli. 

“You don’t need to be polite with me…” Mu Qingli then showed her the text she just received. 

“The driver is waiting downstairs. Let’s go.”

“O-ok…..” Damn driver, why did you have to come so early!

Picking up Mu Qingli’s coat, Gu Anran felt her heart crumble. Ah, she needs to vent, ahhhh!

“Aiya~ Mu Qingli, what time is it? You’re already leaving? You haven’t even been here for more than 2 hours. Don’t they say that the subordinate takes after the boss, just think about the image you’re creating for yourself. How can someone like you lead a company!” Turning around, they heard an annoying voice, but Gu Anran couldn’t be more pleased with the timing! Gu Anran immediately stepped forward, 

“Well, isn’t this Miss Mu? How was your stay at the hospital? I hope your ankle is okay now, the last accident was quite distressing. However, don’t worry Manager Mu, during this period you can just rest and we’ll do all the work for you! No need to act brave! So it’s better if you leave and go back to the hospital! Don’t stay here and be a bother to the others. Why are you staying here, you’ll only add to the distractions.”

“You…” Fortunately, mu Qingyan still had some IQ left. She understood that Gu Anran’s ‘concern’ was not actually concern but ridicule. She lifted her crutch and tried to hit Gu Anran with it, but was stopped by Mu Qingli. 

“Mu Qingyan, this is not a place where you can mess around. If you’re injured then stay in the hospital and get some rest. I will find someone to help you complete your work when you’re gone.” Mu Qingli glared, her eyes full of rage at Mu Qingyan. How dare you try and hit what’s mine! 

You…I’m going to tell Father about this!” Mu Qingyan felt a little weak and backed off, but then remembered that she was going to be a future leader of the Mu Company, so how can she show any weakness?

If Gu Anran knew what Mu Qingyan was thinking, still believing that she can take over the company, she would’ve used her slippers to slap her on the head. 

“Alright you can tell him, but that has nothing to do with me.” Mu Qingli said lightly and then walked away, dragging Gu Anran behind her. She didn’t look back at the still roaring Mu Qingli and directly called a security guard to take her back to the hospital. 

With her father wrapped around her stepmother’s finger, even though his blood flowed through her veins, she was the one who was always getting scolded. Her stepmother was also the reason why she moved out. But so what if she gets scolded later? It’s only a scolding, it won’t be any skin off her back. 

But she couldn’t help but sigh at the state her father was in. Before her father was a very smart individual but now his power and status were dangling before his very eyes, one step from the edge, but he still hasn’t realized it. Should she say that’s because her stepmother and younger stepsister’s schemes were too sinister? Or that her father has gone stupid? It seems, in order to protect the Mu Company, her plan must be accelerated! Otherwise, if this goes on, even if she removes those insects, the Mu Company will be severely damaged and by then, it will be too late to recover.
