The Transmigration Missions Are Not Scientific Ch.49

Chapter 49-Entertainment Circle (11)

Gu Anran felt sore, her head spinning as sounds entered her ears.

“Isn’t it just a sprained ankle? Then why hasn’t the person woken up yet!”

That’s Qingyi’s voice.

“Please, miss, we have already told you many times that the patient went comatose due to the strong shock. The patient will wake up soon enough. We have to let the patient wake up by herself or else there will be severe consequences if she is stimulated by external treatments.” A strange male voice said helplessly.

Am I….at the hospital? So I’m not dead? Where’s Qingli?

“Anran still hasn’t woken up yet?” Creak….it sounded like a door opened. Then a warm palm covered Gu Anran’s hand.

“I bought a bento and then I asked for a rice porridge with minced vegetable and minced meat to be prepared. When she wakes up, she can eat it.

Listening to the faint voices, Gu Anran fell asleep again.

When she opened her eyes again, this time there were no bright lights, only faint flashes of green and red coming from the monitor beside her. Blinking her blurry eyes, she twisted her head to look around. It seemed like she was in a single ward, as there was only one bed along with a sofa, some small refrigerators, and other objects in the room but no other patients. Taking a look outside, it was dark except for the flashing neon lights of the city. It seems like it was nighttime….

At this moment, Hong Qingyi and Chi Mengyan were sleeping together on the sofa, leaning against each other for support. When she looked to her side, it turned out that Mu Qingli was holding her right hand and sitting in a chair beside her hospital bed. Mu Qingli was sleeping with her head lying on the bed, signs of fatigue evident on her face that made Gu Anran feel terribly distressed.

Glancing down at her body…..it wasn’t too bad as there seemed to be only bandages around her ankles and some minor abrasions on the rest of her body. Otherwise, it seems she was not harmed too badly.

Perhaps it was due to her movements, as soon after, Mu Qingli opened her eyes. At first, the young girl’s eyes were confused, and then she shook her head as she looked at Gu Anran with a dumbfounded expression.

“Anran, you’re awake!” Mu Qingli shouted happily, her voice awakening the two lying on the sofa.

“Anran, you’ve woken up!”

Seeing the two’s messy hair and the way they stumbled towards her, Gu Anran felt like laughing. However, she also was a little angry at a certain system! I just wanted to hug my wifey, is that too hard to ask? Stinky system! By the way, I haven’t seen Fatty lately….it was probably slaughtered and eaten. (Fatty: Who was slaughtered and eaten?! I am an invincible, lovely, and extremely selfless system! How can a mere human eat me! Of course, I will not say it’s because the players have forgotten about me that I decided not to be a rabbit anymore! Hmph!)

“I’ll call the doctor.” Gu Anran watched Hong Qingyi rush out of the ward.

“I’ll heat up the porridge.” Chi Mengyan grabbed the thermos lying next to the bed and went off to warm it up.

“Anran, are you hurting anywhere?” Mu Qingli asked while holding Gu Anran’s hand with a worried expression. She blamed herself for everything. If it weren’t for Anran pushing her out of the way and then throwing her body over her own, she may be the one lying in the bed instead. Or maybe she would no longer even be in this world anymore.

“I’m fine.” Gu Anran shook her head and patted Mu Qingli’s head,

“How long was I out for?”

“Only a day and a half.” Mu Qingli replied. At the same time, Hong Qingyi rushed in with a doctor behind her. Based on the state of his clothing and the fact that Hong Qingyi was holding his hand, it seems she had dragged him all the way here.

“I-I…I told you to take it solely….this hospital isn’t a place where you can run.” The doctor fixed his crooked glasses and panted as he held himself up against the wall. My goodness! I haven’t exercised since I graduated from medical school and just then I had to run 100 meters….I’m so tired I might die…

After the doctor recovered from the dead, he took out a stethoscope and examined Gu Anran.

After going through a series of examinations and being watched closely by the other three, Gu Anran could feel the sweat roll down her forehead. Friends, if you’re making me nervous! It’s like you’re watching a child!

After the examinations, the doctor clapped his hands,

“All Done. Except for the ankles, you should be fine after some rest. Ah…Film Empress Gu…this…now that you’re better….would you maybe give this lowly one an autograph…” The doctor fidgeted with his hands, lowering his head as he asked shyly.

“…….”

Gu Anran stared at the big man in front of her who had suddenly turned into a shy little girl. Even more, intriguing was that Hong Qingyi had to drag and plead for him to come and now he…..he was like a scared little baby that didn’t know what to say….

“The porridge is ready.” Chi Mengyan walked over carefully with eh porridge, and Mu Qingli helped arrange a small table to be placed over Gu Anran’s stomach and raised the back of the bed.

“Come, come, you should eat this while it’s still hot.” Chi Mengyan said while placing the porridge on the small table and then handed her a spoon.

“Thanks.” Gu Anran nodded, stirring the porridge lightly. Looking at the vegetables and minced meat, mixed with an aroma of spice, her hungry appetite that had not eaten in an entire gay growled loudly.

As she ate, Hong Qingyi explained everything to her.

When the stage lights fell, because Gu Anran pushed Mu Qingli out of the way, they were able to avoid the immediate danger. However, it was inevitable for her to receive at least one minor injury. Mu Qingli herself only received a little bruise while Gu Anran had fainted and was rushed to the hospital.

The news of her injuries had caused all hell to break out. Every day, people would try to break into the hospital for interviews and her Weibo became even more popular. Everyone wanted to know what had happened to her.

Gu Studios had declared they will seriously investigate this incident and will definitely try to get an explanation. (How can the wonderful father-mother pair not want to get justice for their baby daughter?)

As for the film, Director Li had announced the filming will be put on hiatus until she returns and that her position as the heroine will not be replaced.

“Alas, there is still a large group of journalists and reporters camping outside and every door to the hospital is heavily guarded. It’s a good thing you had people from the Gu Studios guard the outside too, otherwise, it will be so crowded in here.” Hong Qingyi showed Gu Anran a few photos. Compared to the number of reporters outside the hospital last time, it was like comparing apples to oranges, there over three times the amount! And this was only the pictures from the front door. There was still the side door, back door, and more! Looking at this situation, she will be surrounded the moment she goes out!

“You guys should rest first, we’ll figure this out tomorrow.” Although it was not so obvious from a distance, if you looked closely you could see the faint dark circles underneath the three’s eyes. Although it wasn’t that big of a deal for Hong Qingyi and Chi Mengyan, for Mu Qingli it was different. After so many incidents in a row, this would drastically impact her acting career even if it wasn’t her fault.

Seeing Gu Anran’s insistent gaze, the three sat on the sofa provided with the room. The armchair could fit one person while the L-shaped sofa was big enough for two. One can even adjust the back of the armchair if they wanted too. It was fortunate they were in a private ward, otherwise, they might have to sleep on the floor. Which although there was carpeting, anyone would still get a sore back afterward!

Soon after, the three fell asleep after they covered themselves in a swaddle of blankets. From this, one could tell how tired they were.

After seeing that they were asleep, Gu Anran glanced at the time. It was three in the morning but she was not sleepy (if she slept again, then she really would be a lazy pig) and picked up her phone as she looked through her social media.

There were comments full of concern on her account and she couldn’t help but feel a little moved. However, her eyes narrowed at a certain number.

This number was the account number for Cui Qianqian’s account. Gu Anran had quietly followed her account and remembered that Cui Qianqian’s follower count was only 6 million. But now it had broken 10 million. In just two days, what did this green tea bit*h do?

Gu Anran did a quick search on Baidu and found out quickly. In fact, she didn’t even have to search for anything as it was at the very forefront of popular news.

Turning on the sound to the barely audible minimum, Gu Anran pressed the play button. In the video, Cui Qianqian looked pale and helpless, a frightened expression on her face as she faced the camera.

“I-I don’t know what happened…when I…when I turned around….all I saw was the lights coming down, the white smoke and the scene…it was terrible.”

A set of questions were asked and she watched as Cui Qianqian held her head in her hands, tears going down her cheeks as tears streamed down her face.

“It was all because of me….wuwuwu…..it’s because of me….If I weren’t there to ask Sister Gu and Qingli about the script then this wouldn’t have happened. I’m so sorry….wuwuwu….”

Click….

Gu Anran paused the video, a sneer curling her mouth. She read the comments and saw how the people either praised Cui Qianiqian or comforted the women. This caused Gu Anran to snort. If they knew the real Cui Qianqian…she wondered how they would react.

However, this was an opportunity. As Cui Qianqian’s image among the public is of a kind and delicate woman, what would happen if she tears her mask now? It will be an interesting spectacle to watch. Since you wish to use your skills and schemes to get ahead, don’t mind me if I get some of my interest back!
