The Transmigration Missions Are Not Scientific Ch.56

Chapter 56-Entertainment Circle (18)

When the clock struck midnight, an unbelievable post appeared on the Internet. The content was about five pages long and although the content was long, it was easy to understand as it was chalked full of pictures, videos, and audio files. The people’s faces were all censored with mosaic except for the protagonist of the post, the now popular second-tier movie star Cui Qianqian.

Cui Qianqian, who was sitting in front of the computer, looked at the content of the post and directly destroyed her computer, smashing it apart. She screamed and tore at her hair before standing up unsteadily. She stumbled around and smashed anything she could find and crashed it against the ground. It was like she had gone mad.

Cui Qianqian at first had still held onto some hope. She had felt that with Gu Anran’s identity, the Film Empress would not take the time to deal with a small star like her. She believed that Gu Anran was just threatening her and telling her to humble herself and stop messing with other people. She never expected Gu Anran to just directly reveal everything. Although the post said it was anonymous, Cui Qianqian knew that the person who did it was Gu Anran.

What should I do?! There is nothing I can do to fix this! Cui Qianqian thought while pulling her hair when a trace of clarity emerged from her chaotic thoughts.

By now, most people have recovered from the original shock of the post and then Cui Qianqian’s fans counterattacked. However, the fans were unable to hold out against the combined public outrage for no one could survive an attack from the entire public! Within ten minutes, Cui Qinaqian’s fans were on the back foot and soon none of them dared to defend her. Her followers count skyrocketed but only fools would believe these followers were her fans. Instead, they were trolls and haters who have followed her so they could message and then scold her.

Wait, Cui Qianqian looked up the post again but this time on her phone because her computer was broken. She looked through the flashing letters on her phone and impatiently blacked all the numbers that sent her any hateful messages as she read the post again.

Yes, she was right, in the post the one thing Gu Anran didn’t mention was her relationship with Gao Wenjian (since Cui Qianqian rarely met up with directly). Those clips relating to him were either cut down or cut off directly before Gao Wenjian’s name was revealed.

“Hahaha, so this is the result, Gu Anran! You still don’t dare to offend the Gao family! You’re just one little Film Empress, you wouldn’t dare to offend a powerful leader of an entertainment company! Only an idiot would do something like that! But I am one of Mr. Gao’s favorite actresses! With this, you are done for!” Cui Qianqian laughed loudly and moved her hands quickly as she pressed on the contact that was titled 「My Dearest」. (She had come to the delusional conclusion that she was the man’s wife←←).

After making a few calls, the other side still didn’t pick up. However, Cui Qianqian didn’t give up and kept dialing until finally the phone connected.

“Who is it!” Gao Wenjian pushed away the beautiful woman lying on top of him and impatiently picked up the phone that was constantly ringing.

“Mr.Gao, Mr. Gao, it’s me! It’s me, Cui Qianqian.” Cui Qianqian cleared her throat, barely keeping her voice at its usually sickly sweet tone. However, after screaming for so long her voice sounded a bit hoarse.

“Cui Qianqian…” Gao Wenjian recalled he had an actress like that under him, but she was only a backup pawn. A  pawn like Cui Qianqian was still useful for now so he had to put up with her. Otherwise, Gao Wenjian would’ve thrown her out a long time ago.

“Is something the matter?”

“This….regarding the articles on the internet…. can Mr. Gao sort out the matter for me?” Cui Qianqian asked.

“The internet?” Gao Wenjian frowned and the woman next to him picked up her own cell phone and showed him the hottest post. Gao Wenjian looked through the content and the more he read the more he frowned. Until finally his brows were knitted tightly together and his face was completely wrinkled. Finally, he decided it was no longer worth it to reply to Cui Qianqian and hung up the phone directly. He put Cui Qianqian’s number on the blacklist and called up his assistant,

“Get me a new phone and immediately cut off all the resources going towards Cui Qianqian. Then destroy all relevant materials trying us to her.”

“Understood.”

After saying that, Gao Wenjian took out the calling card in his phone and immediately crushed it into pieces.

On the other end, Cui Qianqian looked at the dead tone coming from her phone in disbelief. She had called again and thought that maybe Gao Wenjian had hung up accidentally. However, the number she had dialed came up empty and was even shown to not exist.

“Ahhhh!” Cui Qianqian screamed, her face full of despair. She understood that she had been abandoned. In the past, anything she wanted was satisfied by  President Gao. Now it turned out that she was just one of the many chess pieces owned by President Gao.

Cui Qianqian called up a few more people but just like Gao Wenjian, they either hung up directly or had put her on their blacklist for callers.

“It’s gone…. Everything is finished….” Cui Qianqian lay on the ground, staring blankly at the air and whispered softly.

Meanwhile, inside the hospital,

“Anran, why didn’t you expose Gao Wenjian too? At the very least, his influence will be shaken up.” Hong Qingyi drummed the fingers of one hand while the other scrolled through the comments.

“If Gao Wenjian is exposed, he would definitely check who posted the article. Although I have the skills to escape his eyes, he will put up his guard and defend himself against future attacks. Instead, it would be better to let him relax a little more. Moreover, this will let Cui Qianqian think we are afraid of Gao Wenjian and she will ask him for help. However, she is no more than a pawn to him and if he wants to find another spy, well, let’s just say there is more than one. It will only be a small matter of rearranging his financial resources but it will leave a greater impact on Cui Qianqian.” Gu Anran smiled.

“Ahhh….Sister Anran~ You are getting more and more insidious! I’m so scared~” Hong Qingyi pretended to be afraid and shrunk into a ball, her hand pulling on Gu Anran’s sleeve with a disgusting sweet voice.

“Go away! If you want to say something, say it properly! Stop asking so disgusting!” Gu Anran mercilessly threw Hong Qingyi’s hand off of her.

“Hey, what are you two doing?! Still not sleeping?! It’s already one in the morning!” Chi Mengyan opened the door and rushed in while screaming angrily. However, she was aware this was a hospital and kept her voice down, otherwise, the doctor would be rushing in right now!

She walked over to Hong Qingyi and dragged her by the ears.

“Ah…sleep….yes…it’s time to go to sleep….” Hong Qingyi said dryly as Chi Mengyan pulled her out of the ward and then waved at Gu Anran,

“Good night and sweet dreams.” After saying so, she winked at Gu Anran.

Wha, I think my eyes are playing tricks on me.

Gu Anran shook her head sleepily and then turned around before immediately freezing up.

On the bed, Mu Qingli has wrapped up the blankets so that only her head was visible. Oh and the fingers that were gripping the blankets as she looked at Gu Anran with an aggrieved expression…

Gu Anran’s body stiffened and her eyes avoided the other’s gaze. Uh, why do I feel so guilty>

Cough.” Gu Anran came over and patted Mu Qingli’s soft hair.

“Qingli, it’s getting late, time to sleep.”

“What about you?” Mu Qingli asked.

“I…: Gu Anran originally wanted to say she was going to watch the surveillance videos from the Gao family’s entertainment company tonight but looking at Mu Qingli’s pointed gaze, her words were stuck in her throat. After just three seconds of their staring contest,

“Of course I am…. I am going to sleep too.”

Taking off her thin jacket, Gu Anran crawled onto the bed. Since she liked to sleep on the side that faced the wall, Mu Qingli moved to the side to let her through. After Gu Anran laid down, Mu Qingli turned around to face her.

Gu Anran put an arm around Mu Qingli so that she was holding her in her arms. She felt Mu Qingli stiffen but the girl did not resist.

The light and fragrant scent wafted from Mu Qingli’s body and the fragrance lulled Gu Anran into a deep sleep.

What Gu Arnan didn’t know was that after she fell asleep, Mu Qingli secretly kissed her lips and whispered,

“Good night.”
