Ch.101-Bumped into the bloodthirsty psycho again?!

Bang! 

Wen Jiexi’s fist sank deeply into the car door, a dent the size of the fist left on the metal, 

“That fu*king lunatic!” Wen Jiexi roared, then punched the car door again.

The car shook violently,  

“Ahem….Jiexi, calm down! You have to save your energy for later!” Che Feng quickly steadied the computer in his lap before it fell. 

Meanwhile, the two men driving the car in the front were trembling. At first, they had wondered why they were bringing a weak-looking girl with them. Chu Feng was understandable as he is an elite hacker, but what about the girl? Was she here to make trouble for them? But now they understood why she was here. Just one punch from her would kill the both of them. How are they supposed to drive calmly now after learning that fact?!

“How am I supposed to calm down?!! This Feng Xiaoliang….” Wen Jiexi clenched her fists, and her whole body trembled with anger. Chu Feng’s phone is linked with Xue Molin’s phone so the two of them had seen and heard everything earlier. However, Chu Feng cut the feed right when Feng Xiaoliang moved towards Su Chenyu with that scalpel so Wen Jiexi didn’t know what was happening to Su Chenyu right now. 

“Ai….I just don’t want you to watch it because you’re just going to do something rash.” Chu Feng said with a headache. He can understand Wen Jiexi’s feelings as the person who was captured was someone he cared about too, but unfortunately, it was not the time to be impulsive. If something happens to both Wen Jiexi and Su Chenyu, how was he going to explain this later? So his first course of action was to calm the person beside him. If one acts rashly in the midst of battle, it will only lead to tragedy. 

“Huuu…..What is the plan for later?” Wen Jiexi exhaled deeply and said gravely. 

“En, according to Lingqing, our forces have been deployed. When we arrive, all we have to do is give the signal and the operation will start. Aunt Long said that they have prepared sleep darts that they gave to the snipers waiting in the dark. After the people on the first floor are dealt with, the bomb defusal group will go in with some of our fighters. “Of course I’m sure. Sister Su is in there. If something happens to her….I’ll never forgive myself. So if I go in there and something does happen to her, at least we can be together until the end.” Wen Jiexi lightly touched the bracelet around her wrist, the image of the first smile Su Chenyu had shown her flashing in her mind. 

Chu Feng glanced at the girl next to him. He never expected that Su Chenyu would somehow be someone who would be so loyal and someone who loves Su Chenyu just as much as Su Chenyu loved her. She even found someone who was willing to go to the end of the world for her. This is someone an ordinary person could never dream of finding. With this, he can finally fully entrust Su Chenyu’s life into Wen Jiexi’s hands. 

“I will make the proper arrangements then so that you can go in with the first team.” Chu Feng nodded and said. 

“Shouldn’t we notify the police as well?” Wen Jiexi asked. In her opinion, that scumbag named Feng Xiaoliang should be handed over to the police for punishment. 

“Yes we should, but not now. After all, a lot of the players in this game are public figures after all so if the police arrive, then the surrounding residents will panic and the scene will become more chaotic than it already is. So we will only call the police when things here are almost resolved.” Chu Feng answered without looking up from his computer. 

“Is that so….” Wen Jiexi looked out at the window and watched the beautiful scenery pass by, but she had no heart to appreciate it now. The only thing on her mind right now is the person she loves with all her heart. 

Chu Feng glanced at Wen Jiexi and then gave the driver a signal, causing the car to accelerate at a faster speed. 

Ten minutes later, they arrived at their destination. Chu Feng took Wen Jiexi to a small room. Outside the room stood many people dressed in black clothes who guard the door with serious faces. The people pacing around outside were not the tough-looking bodyguards Wen Jiexi expected, but nonetheless, they looked strong in their state of the art gear. 

“These guys are the elites and they’ll be charging in with you later.” Chu Feng introduced quickly in a whisper and then entered the room with her. 

Inside the room, there were a total of 20 people, 15 men, and 5 women. All of them held weapons in their hands and their gazes all converged on the two new people who entered the room. 

In the center of the room was an old man along with several middle-aged men and women. 

“So this is my granddaughter-in-law?” The old man excluded an intimidating aura and he looked Wen Jiexi up and down with his eagle-like eyes. 

“Jiexi, this is Long Yan, head of the triads and Aunt Long’s father.” Chu Feng introduced. 

This is Sister Su’s grandfather? Wen Jiexi was taken aback for a moment, then bowed slightly to Long Yan, 

“Hello Grandpa Long, I am Wen Jiexi.” 

“En? You sure have a lot of gall, you actually want to go in with them.” Long Yan rubbed his chin and studied the girl in front of him. She doesn’t seem to be afraid of him….it seems that the old bastard from the Su family was telling the truth. Not to mention, even in this dangerous situation, she willingly declared she would go in with the first wave. Even a man would at least hesitate during this dangerous situation, much less a little girl.

“Yes, Sister Su was kidnapped due to my negligence. If I was there with her, then those group of men wouldn’t have been able to do anything.” Wen Jiexi said solemnly, confidence radiating from her body. She had full confidence in her current strength. 

“Oh ho? You are quite the funny little doll…” Long Yan narrowed his eyes and then glanced at the person beside him, 

“Call White Snake in.” 

“Understood.” A middle-aged man beside him respectfully bowed and then quickly walked out. When he came back in again, a beautiful looking woman in white followed after him. 

Wen Jiexi observed the person. The woman was dressing a white shirt, black slacks, and dressed rather casually. The woman looked like someone who is rather easy-going. 

“This is White Snake, one of the top five operatives in my triad. Her ability is also within the top ten of the people I have met in this lifetime.” Long Yan said. 

“Master Long, this….” Chu Feng began but was interrupted before he could finish. 

“It is simply wishful thinking on your part if you think you can follow the first team without repercussions. You must know that the person inside is my precious granddaughter. If my first team is slowed down due to a burden dragging them down, then the rescue will be delayed and the risk of failure will increase. Therefore, if I deem your skill as inadequate, then I’m sorry but you will have to join the second team instead. So you will be able to go in, but only after the mission is guaranteed to be successful. So really, it is only a matter of when you can go in. So, what do you think, Miss Wen?” Long Yan tapped his fingers idly against the arm of his chair as he quietly awaited Wen Jiexi’s answer. 

“Let’s fight then.” Wen Jiexi nodded without wasting her breath on any more words. In her opinion, the more time she has to waste here, the more danger Sister Su will be in. 

“Oh, how ambitious. Alright, White Snake, you’re up.” Long Yan beckoned at the woman and at the same time, expressed his admiration for Wen Jiexi’s fearlessness. 

“I am White Snake, please take care of me.” The woman called White Snake bowed and stepped forward. 

“Likewise. I am Wen Jiexi.” Wen Jiexi also did the same and introduced herself. 

Everyone else backed away to give the two of them who stood in the center some space. 

“Begin.” Long Yan said lightly.

Wen Jiexi studied the person in front of her. Although she had picked up a lot of skills from the shop and significantly increased her physical strength, she could only be considered half an expert as she had the skills but could not accurately gauge the other party’s skill level. Similarly, the other party was also studying her and did not make the first move. Getting impatient and determined to not waste any more time, Wen Jiexi decided to attack first. 

With a roar, Wen Jiexi rushed at the woman and the other party’s eyes widened slightly in surprise. Wen Jiexi’s fist aimed straight for White Snake’s stomach. Was Wen Jiexi a little too ruthless for hitting such a sensitive spot? Not at all, for she used only a third of her strength. However, a third of her current strength was enough to even knock a grown man out cold. 

As for why she only used a third of her strength? It was because Grandpa Long had said that White Snake is an elite and should be someone very powerful.  

White Snake only raised her brows slightly when that fist that was faster than what ordinary people can perceive came at her. After so many years of experience, she reacted quickly, and seeing her opponent’s sloppy movements she only thought it was to be expected. However, when she blocked that fist with her own hand, her face changed as the full force of that face rattled her arm. Using that hand, she parried that fist so that the force was lessened compared to a direct hit. 

She avoided Wen Jiexi’s first attack and retaliated by swinging an elbow towards Wen Jiexi’s chest but her attack was easily blocked by Wen Jiexi. White Snake did not expect her attack to fail but she continued to move despite the surprise and kicked out a foot towards Wen Jiexi’s waist. 

Pa! 

White Snake suddenly felt fire-like pain travel up her leg. The other party seemed to have expected her attack as the opponent’s leg met her own. Both of them stared at each other, neither of them holding the upper hand. 

“Alright, stop!” Long Yan raised a hand and looked at Wen Jiexi with both surprise and admiration. When he had first heard news that Wen Jiexi was going to join the first team, Long Yan’s first thought was that the girl was being too overconfident in her own abilities. However, seeing that fight with White Snake that lasted less than a minute, he could tell that the girl’s strength was not in the least bit weak and although she was a little green, she had the right foundation. The little girl could be considered to be similar to a flower raised inside a greenhouse, unlike people like him who had encountered countless life and death experiences. With some experience, she can blossom into something great. 

“Is this enough?” Wen Jiexi asked.

Long Yan stared at Wen Jiexi for a while, long enough to cause Wen Jiexi’s heart to beat anxiously before he agreed.

 “Yes.” 

Phew….Wen Jiexi breathed a sigh of relief, like a student who had just wiggled their way out of detention with the dean. 

“Since everyone is here, it is time to act. Get into your respective positions and we’ll start in three minutes!” Long Yan bellowed and then everyone swarmed out of the room as Long Yan faced Chu Feng and Wen Jiexi, “You, the boy from the Chu family, you will follow me first. As for you, you will follow White Snake, she will tell you what to do. 

“Alright.” 

“Understood.” 

“Come with me.” White Snake said lightly and walked out first. A group in black surrounded her and Wen Jiexi the minute they walked out. 

“Is it time? White Snake, did the boss say it’s time yet?” A simple looking man scratched his head and asked. 

“En, we have three minutes to get ready. Also, this girl here is one of our new partners.” White Snake pointed at Wen Jiexi and briefly introduced her to everyone, but she didn’t introduce the other people to Wen Jiexi. After all, they don’t have much time before the rescue mission starts and since they will probably work together only once, there is no need to say more than necessary. 

“Uh, won’t this slow us down….” A man approached Wen Jiexi, rubbing his chin as he looked at her with eyes full of questions. 

“Yeah, yeah, we have to go save the young miss and this….” Another beautiful woman on the side also said hesitantly. 

“This is an order from the old man. Furthermore, she is no weaker than me, except for a lack of experience.” White Snake said slowly as the others also showed their hesitation. 

“Wo kao!” 

“For real?” 

“You can’t judge a book by its cover!” 

Wen Jiexi received a dozen pairs of shocked gazes and before she could react, someone stuffed a pair of black tight-fitting jackets and pants into her arms. She brushed a finger across the clothes, wondering what kind of material this is. 

“These clothes are made of a special bulletproof fabric. It also can protect you from sharp knives and weapons to an extent. Put it on.” White Snake said as she also put a jacket on her own body. Except for the two of them, everyone else wore the special clothes. 

Bulletproof and can protect against knives? Amazing. Wen Jiexi thought as she quickly put on the clothes and then seeing that everyone was making their way towards the factory, she ran to catch up to them but was stopped by White Snake. 

“Wait, what are you doing, running off in a hurry? Are you going to use a knife or a gun? What kind of weapon are you good at?” White Snake asked, opening a small door on the side, revealed shelves of various weapons and firearms. The large variety made Wen Jiexi’s eyes pop. 

Ah? A knife? A gun? As expected of the triads! 

Seeing the stunned look on Wen Jiexi’s face, White Snake patted her head lightly, 

“I forgot that you are a newbie to all this.” 

“W-wait, I’ll use this!” 

“Are you sure….” White Snake looked at what Wen Jiexi was pointing at. It was a huge hammer, more of a mallet that was at least two arms long and the hammer was bigger than a person’s head. She had used that weapon before, but most ordinary people can’t even lift it so only the big muscled men who did the heaviest lifting work would use it….she looked at that slender arm. Will this…really be okay? 

“Yup!” 

After an entire night of deliberation, Wen Jiexi felt that the sword was cool and powerful, but wasn’t suitable for her. She also didn’t know how to use a gun. So she only had her strength. Then, she’ll go for a heavy weapon! So she decided to pick that mallet. 

“But can you even lift it….” White Snake started but then stopped as she watched Wen Jiexi easily pick up the mallet with one hand and then swing it like a toy. Whoosh!

Should she be glad that Wen Jiexi had only used one hand to swing the mallet? Otherwise, she’s afraid that the girl might’ve smashed through the concrete wall with the strength of two hands. 

“En, the weight is perfect.” Wen Jiexi picked up a rag from one of the hooks and wiped the dust off her mallet. Although it was a bit rusty, it was still good material. 

White Snake: I’m just going to quietly watch from the side. 

After the two returned to the place where they were told to be on standby, Wen Jiexi received another round of shocked gazes for the heavy weapon sitting on her shoulders. However, no one said anything as they were only about 30 meters from the factory now so they had to stay quiet as they lurked in the bushes. 

Wen Jiexi looked at the big thugs guarding the entrance to the first floor. As she had expected, these thugs looked rough with tattoos dotting their arms. These thugs looked more like they were a part of the triads than the gentle and good looking (except for a few) men and women beside her.

A very soft sound sounded but to them it was like someone had blown the horn of war. Their forces began to move.

Several thugs that had been smoking or leaning against the entrance fell to the ground with thin needles on the back of their necks. They couldn’t even react before they were knocked out unconscious. 

The thugs inside seemed to have noticed something was wrong and quickly ran out but they also fell down one by one like their partners. This continued until no one else ran out again. 

“Time to move, it’s our turn now.” A serious-looking man who seemed to be the leader stood up and walked over to the entrance. 

A group of men moved the ‘objects’ lying on the ground to the side and a lot more rushed over to drag the unconscious people away. It seems that the ones who were dragging the bodies are the ones responsible for cleaning up the bodies. A lot of thugs had rushed out just now so the door was half open and the man in lead approached cautiously as he raised his hand. Everyone else raised their own weapons when they saw the man raise his hand. 

As soon as the man opened the door fully, an iron rod rushed towards him. It turned out that someone was hiding behind the door and wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to attack. However, the man in the lead simply turned his head sideways and then punched the attacker’s abdomen really hard. 

“Ooohhhhhh…..” The attacker fell to the ground and clutched his stomach as he groaned and retched. His face was pale and his entire body seemed to be convulsing with pain. 

Wen Jiexi looked at the man in the lead and saw a pair of brass knuckles decorating the man’s hand. Tsk, tks, no wonder his attack was so painful. As expected of a gangster, they have come prepared with something that can both decorate their hand and one punch anyone they meet, essentially killing two birds with one stone. 

Most of the people on the first floor were killed by the snipers outside and those who survived did not seem to be intimidated by the triad members as they charged at them with knives, iron rods, and even chairs. However, all of the thugs were on the floor in less than ten seconds. Wen Jiexi, who only watched from behind, felt completely useless. She gave them a thumbs up! No wonder they are called elites!

“Let’s go, it seems that we have cleared out most of this floor. We’re moving upstairs.” The man said the last sentence into a walkie-talkie and suddenly some people in strange clothing rushed in as they began to carefully take apart a black box that was stuck to the wall. 

Is that the explosive? Is it really that simple? Wen Jiexi watched the group of people quickly open the box and then used something to cut some of the wires inside before they detached the box and threw it into a bag. The time they took was less than a minute. The scumbag had put so much effort in putting up that the explosives yet was so easily removed by someone else. 

The second floor was about the same size as the first. The stairs are on the opposite of each floor so you had to reach the end of the second floor to reach the stairs to the third floor. Unfortunately, this time it wasn’t as easy as the moment they reached the second floor they were greeted with a dozen guns pointed at them. The people holding the guns didn’t hesitate as they pulled the trigger. 

Bang! Bang! Bang!

In an instant, the sound of gunfire erupted and the sound of glass breaking and stone falling rang out everywhere. Wen Jiexi was dragged by White Snake to take cover behind a pillar. Seeing the wall in front of her covered in bullet holes, Wen Jiexi couldn’t help but gasp in surprise. So this is how a real showdown in the underworld works huh? 

The man in lead quickly made some hand signs that Wen Jiexi couldn’t understand, but White Snake understood and quickly pulled a gun from the holster around her waist. 

“Stay here and don’t move.” 

Wen Jiexi nodded blankly as she watched a shocking gunfight play out in front of her. The sound of gunfire continued for another twenty minutes before it finally stopped and the area was filled with smoke and the pungent smell of blood. 

“How many people were injured?” The leader asked. 

“We have four with heavy injuries. They will need to go back down and have the medical staff patch them up.” Another woman replied in less than a minute. Although the next floor is not as dangerous, if a bomb goes off, these injured people will only become a burden so it’s better to let them directly return. 

The leader quickly made a few arrangements and two people carried the injured down the stairs. The two people will also stay on the second floor after they finish their task. 

The others continued onward without stopping. They approached the third floor but no bullets greeted them this time. Only a crowd of people stood in their way. And in the middle of that crowd was a sofa with a man who was playing with a knife sitting on that sofa. When his eyes landed on the attackers, no, to be more precise, when his eyes landed on Wen Jiexi, he smiled happily. 

“Welcome guests and friends who I haven’t seen in a long time~ Nice to meet you all~”
