Ch.104-Are you allowed to flirt in front of the in-laws?!

When Su Chenyuu opened her eyes she was greeted with a strong smell of disinfectant. She closed her eyes again and then opened them. Has she been saved? 

“Jiexi, your Sister Su has awakened! Hurry up and go to her!” Dango lightly pushed against Wen Jiexi, who was tiredly lying against the bed on the side. 

“Ah..? Sister Su is awake? Sister Su, you’re awake!” Wen Jiexi hadn’t slept all night, and she refused to leave Su Chenyu’s side after they had treated her wounds. She wanted to stay by Su Chenyu’s side so that the first face her lover sees is hers. However, she fell asleep due to exhaustion and tasked Dango to keep watch for her. Dango readily agreed after seeing all the work Wen Jiexi had done all night. After all that running, swinging, and whatnot, she really needed a good rest. There were dark circles under her eyes that had appeared in just one night due to exhaustion and anxiety. 

“Little Xi?” Su Chenyu’s voice was slightly hoarse as Wen Jiexi slowly propped up her body. 

“Sister Su, be careful, you still have a bunch of wounds on your stomach. Here, drink some water.” Seeing that Su Chenyu was moving to get up, Wen Jiexi stopped her and handed her a cup of warm water she had prepared beforehand. 

“Little Xi, your hand….” Su CHenyu said when she looked at Wen Jiexi who was wearing a hospital gown like hers. The sleeves had slipped down and naturally revealed the bandages all over Wen Jiexi’s hand and arm. The location of the injury was very eye-catching so she had easily noticed it. 

“Ahahaha, it’s just a scratch.” Wen Jiexi smiled dryly.

“Didn’t you promise me…to not take any risks anymore….” Su Chenyu sighed helplessly. 

“I…was worried about you. Feng Xiaoliang, that scumbag, he actually…” When she remembered the image of Su Chenyu lying helplessly on the bed, covered in blood, she felt a flare of anger but that anger soon turned into sadness and her eyes reddened as she was about to cry. 

“Hey, look I’m okay now.” Su Chenyu pulled the person over, hugged her in her arms, and gently comforted the girl. Although she didn’t want Wen Jiexi to take risks, she knew that Wen Jiexi would come to save her. That feeling of knowing that your lover would do anything for you made her feel both happy and satisfied. It was nice to know that the person she trusts the most didn’t abandon her due to fear. 

Shua……

Just as the two of them were enjoying each other’s company, they were interrupted by the door opening, 

“Aiya~ You’re awake~” Xue Molin, who was going to drag Wen Jiexi into a bed and force her to rest, raised her eyebrows when she saw the two of them hugging each other. 

“Tsk, tsk, you guys are flirting the moment you wake up. Way to sprinkle dog food onto everyone.” Li Lingmeng poked her head inside from behind Xue Molin and teased the two of them. 

“You guys! Why did you come in so suddenly!” Wen Jiexi’s face flushed and she moved to stand up, but will Su Chenyu let her leave so easily? She hugged Wen Jiexi tightly, she will marry the little sheep home as soon as possible! 

“My dear sister! Little Xi, don’t worry, big brother is here!” A loud shout rang out and Wen Linshu’s voice sounded. When Xue Molin heard his voice, a playful smile spread across her face and she pulled Li Lingmeng to the side with her. 

A few seconds later, Wen Linshu walked in. 

“Brother….” Wen Jiexi started. 

“Little Xi, how are you? Are you injured anywhere?” When Wen Linshu heard that Su Chenyu was rescued but his baby sister was injured, he ran over immediately. He grabbed her shoulders tightly and looked her up and down. Only then did he notice the annoying and obstructive arm around his baby sister’s waist. 

Wen Linshu angrily ordered, “Let go!” 

Su Chenyu replied calmly, “No.” 

Wen Linshu’s brows furrowed, “Let her go!” 

Su Chenyu said forcefully with a blank face: “No!”

The room filled with sparks and a strong smell of gunpowder but the little wooden log stuck between the two didn’t notice as her attention shifted to something else. 

“Mom, Dad, why are you here?” Wen Jiexi happily broke out of Su Chenyu’s grasp, ran past Wen Linshu, and then ran over to hug her parents standing at the door. 

Wen Linshu: Why did I lose to my parents? How can your big brother who practically raised you is considered less than our parents?

Su Chenyu: ….I should marry her as soon as possible so that we won’t be disturbed by father-in-law and mother-in-law…oh, and this guy too…. (Looks over at Wen Linshu with disgust) 

Wen Linshu: What kind of eyes are those! Do you want to fight?!! 

“Dad, Mom.” Su Chenyu said politely as she nodded to Tan Yashi and Wen Shan. 

“Wo kao, who is your mom and dad….” Wen Linshu began but was interrupted by Tan Yashi before he could finish. 

“Aiya, Little Yu is so good. Ah, I made some soup for you to help you recover.” Tan Yashi’s eyes brightened when she heard Su Chenyu’s words and completely ignored Wen Shan’s bitter expression as she placed a thermos on the table next to Su Chenyu. 

“Thanks, Mom.” 

Wen Linshu gritted his teeth: Give an inch and take a mile! Shameless! 

Wen Jiexi: Wuwu, how embarrassing~

Wen Shan: I’ll…I’ll just stay quiet and not say anything. 

Su Chenyu: Mother-in-law really is a good person!” 

“Linshu, what are you doing? Hurry up and get a chair for me. Do you want your mother to just stand here? Why are you still standing there?” Tan Yashi pursed her lips as she turned towards the two men beside her. 

“Oh.; Wen Linshu who felt intense discontent in his heart, glared at Su Chenyu and then grabbed a chair for his mother to sit in. 

“By the way, Little Yu, do you need us to call the doctor over?” Tan Yashi said curiously. When she arrived, she had come to see Little Xi but then heard that Su Chenyu had just woken up. However, where was the doctor? Logically speaking, aren’t they supposed to check up on their patient? This is also a private hospital that belongs to the Su family so that Su Chenyu woke up should be treated with utmost importance. 

“They’re probably busy.” Su Chen said lightly as if to say that she didn’t mind such small matters. 

Xue Molin rolled her eyes as she stood on the side. Hmph, it’s obvious that a certain someone wanted some alone time with Jiexi….when did this person become such a black-bellied person? It seems like she did interrupt the good atmosphere between them too. Hahaha, she suddenly felt a little happy at that. 

Xue Molin explained to Tan Yashi, “Su Chenyu’s injuries are actually not very serious. After the doctor examined her, it turns out she only has some flesh wounds and they are not that deep. According to the diagnosis, you only need to regularly change the bandages and not let the wounds touch water. No need for the doctor to help and the wounds will naturally close up without leaving any scars.” 

“Huh? But there was so much blood so how come it’s only a flesh wound?” Li Lingmeng hadn’t seen everything as she had fallen asleep on the couch, but she had remembered seeing a lot of blood when they had rushed over here to check up on the situation. 

At the time, the doctor insisted that everyone get out and Wen Jiexi, who was completely unwilling to leave, threw the lot of them out of the room. When the doctor saw this, she froze with shock. Are all young people this violent nowadays? And will there really be no problems for throwing out so many young masters and misses? 

Of course, she couldn’t concern herself with this stuff and had turned around to lift the clothes covering Su Chenyu’s body when she paused.

The two of them stared at each other for a while before the doctor finally backed down. She couldn’t kick this strong woman out with physical force so there was not much else she could do. Oh well, as long as the other doesn’t bother her, she will not say anything. 

She cut open the clothes and saw the blood undeath. After so many years of being a doctor, she knew what to do and used a sterilized sponge to lightly wipe off the dried blood. When she saw the three characters on the stomach, the doctor was bewildered. 

Eh? Are young people into stuff like this nowadays? Actually engraved the name of a boy onto the belly, pei-she almost forgot she is the Su family’s doctor and was treating one of those young men or women who had played around too much. 

She carefully inspected the wounds and raised her eyebrows. The wounds were not very deep and the deepest cut was only around 2-3 cm deep. Then why did the patient bleed so much? She treated Su Chenyu’s wounds carefully and then bandaged them with gauze before quickly leaving the ward. 

“So that’s what happened.” Tan Yashi nodded without caring to think about the strange details. 

Meanwhile, Dango stuck its hands proudly on its waist. 

“Isn’t this to be expected? How can items from this master’s shop not be good? These kinds of trivial matters are easily solved in just one go!” 

Yes, yes, you are the best. Wen Jiexi replied dryly. 

Dango: Jiexi, this is destroying the bridge after crossing the river!* (T/N*: idiom that means to abandon one’s benefactor upon achieving one’s goal) 

“Little Xi, you should rest too, there are dark circles under your eyes.” Tan Yashi felt distressed for her daughter and touched Wen Jiexi’s paler than usual face. She looked at the hospital gown on her daughter. She was used to seeing her daughter dressed in hospital clothes, but after her daughter had miraculously gotten better, she hadn’t gone back to the hospital for months until now due to this accident. 

“Mom, don’t worry, I’m fine.” Wen Jiexi saw the worry in her mother’s eyes and quickly comforted her. 

“Yashi, she’s fine. Look, didn’t they both return just fine?” Wen Shan stood beside Tan Yashi and stroked her arm in comfort. However, Tan Yashi frowned at his words, 

“What do you mean they’re fine? One’s lying on the bed and the other is covered in bandages. How can this be considered fine? This old lady is going to slap that scumbag a few times! How dare he try to hurt my daughter! He is simply tired of living!”

Wen Shan who had just wanted to comfort his wife but ended up getting scolded: QAQ

“Mom, I’m sorry. This kind of thing will never happen again, I promise.” Su Chenyu lowered her head and firmly said. 

“…Good, what a good child.”Tan Yashi looked at Su Chenyu quietly for a while, then nodded in satisfaction before patting Su Chenyu on the shoulder, “Rest up, don’t make our Little Xi worry.” 

“Ok.” 

“And Little Xi, how are you going to rest like this? You can’t just sleep in a chair.” Tan Yashi turned towards her daughter. Although she likes the person her daughter loves, in her heart, her daughter was still the most important. 

“This…” Wen Jiexi scratched her head embarrassedly. She didn’t want to leave Su Chenyu’s side, and there was only one bed in the ward. She didn’t want to trouble anybody by moving to another bed but just as she opened her mouth, Su Chenyu began to speak. 

“We have a specially designed extra large mattress that can fit into a single bed. It’s about two-thirds the size of a double bed and should be able to fit two people no problem.” 

Wen Linshu’s eyes widened: Su Chenyu, you bastard! 

Xue Molin and Li Lingmeng watched with stunned expressions: Are you sure you can flirt like this in front of the in-laws? Wow, really amazing, no wonder you’re the boss. 

Tan Yashi applauded inwardly: Oh, it seems their relationship has progressed to this level already! It seems our Little Xi has really met the right person. 

Wen Shan’s face was blank: My daughter is being stolen away from right under my nose, but I can’t say anything. Ah, my heart hurts. 

“Sister Su, this….this isn’t appropriate.” Wen Jiexi never expected Su Chenyu to say such blatant words in front of her family. Her face burned red as she lowered her head and fidgeted with the corner of Su Chenyu’s clothes. However, this only gave Su Chenyu the opportunity to grab her hand. Wen Jiexi tried to pull back but would Su Chenyu let her go? The hand tightened and she even began to draw circles with their thumb on the back of Wen Jiexi’s head. This caused Wen Jiexi’s face to burn even redder and she lowered her head. 

Everyone else: Are you really flirting in front of your friends and family right now????

At this moment, the door was kicked open with a band and Long Junzhu rushed in, 

“Little Yu, they said you’re awake-” Long Junzhu coughed dryly when her eyes landed on the group of people. She immediately patted her clothes and her appearance changed back to one of a dignified lady. 

Little Yu, you’re awake. Mother has come to see you. Aiya, isn’t this my co-mother-in-law? You’ve come to see Little Yu too? Come, let’s go over there and have a little chat in case we disturb their recovery.” 

Long Junzhu smiled and then winked at Su Chenyu as she hooked an arm around Tan Yashi’s arm before walking out. When she reached the door, she ran into Su Wencheng and Su Wenqian who were following behind her earlier. She pushed both of them out and then looked over at Xue Molin before leaving quickly. 

“Haaaa…” Xue Molin yawned, “then I’ll be going now. I’m exhausted and I haven’t slept all night so I’m going to rest. Oh, but the way, I will ask Little Yiyi to ask Director Peng to leave for both of you. Ai, Jiexi just returned from vacation and now she’s going to leave again after only one day of work. Tsk, tsk, I wonder how he’s going to make it~” Xue Molin said and then dragged Li Lingmeng who was also yawning beside her out the door. 

“Little Xi, are you sure you want to stay here….” Wen Linshu stopped talking as he glared at the woman who stole his baby sister away and caused his baby sister harm as well. Hmph, I knew you were bad news from the start! Still acting so arrogant in front of me?! If you weren’t a woman I would’ve beaten you up by now! 

“Linshu, and Mr. Wen, your mother/wife is staring at this room from the end of the corridor with murderous eyes.” Xue Molin suddenly poked her head into the room and said with a smile before leaving again. 

“Little Xi….Chenyu, I’ll let you guys rest, we have to leave first.” Wen Shan, who had been keeping to his ‘I am calm, I am very quiet’ rule finally stepped forward and grabbed the son who obviously had no chance of winning yet still fought like a moth drawn to the flame. He nodded at the two of them and quickly walked out. 

“Have a good rest.” Wen Shan said one more time and then gently closed the door.” 

“Sister Su, do you want to drink the soup now?” Wen Jiexi turned around after making sure the door was closed and grabbed the thermos on the bedside table. 

“I’ll drink it now, otherwise it’ll get cold. I’ll ask for someone to prepare some food, I’m sure you’re hungry as well.” Su Chenyu patted Wen Jiexi’s head and said. 

“Yeah….” Wen Jiexi embarrassedly patted her grumbling stomach and then opened the lid of the thermos with a blushing face. The aroma of a medical soup floated into the air. 

“Although my mother’s food isn’t as good as Wang Ma’s, her soup is on par with Wang Ma’s. Before, when I was in poor health, mom would always cook some for me.” Looking down at the steaming thermos, Wen Jiexi felt rather nostalgic. 

“Let’s drink it together.” Su Chenyu said with a smile.

“Huh? But mom prepared this for Sister Su.” Wen Jiexi was taken aback for a moment and then said blankly; like it was a matter of fact. 

“It’s alright. Come here, I’ll feed you some.” Su Chenyu picked up the spoon, took a spoonful of soup, blew on it, and then carefully raised it towards Wen Jiexi’s mouth. 

“Wu….” Wen Jiexi pursed her lips slightly. In the end, she was afraid that Su Chenyu’s arm would become sore if she held the spoon up for too long, and obediently drank the soup from the spoon. Ah, as expected of her mother’s handicraft, it is still delicious as ever. 

“It’s really delicious.” Su Chenyu also took a sip, her pink tongue darting out to lick the place where Wen Jiexi’s lips landed on the spoon earlier. 

“You…even when you’re injured you still tease me.” Wen Jiexi pouted and said quietly. 

“Really? But I think I am in good health now, and I really want to…” Su Chenyu drank another spoonful of soup, and under Wen Jiexi’s surprised gaze, she pulled Wen Jiexi towards her. Then she kissed Wen Jiexi directly on her lips and passed the soup into the other’s mouth. Their tongues mixed together until the other party was panting and red in the face. 

“Sister Su….is a bad person…..” Wen Jiexi panted heavily, tears forming on the edge of her eyes. She looked so pitiful and so….delicious. Su Chenyu’s desire greatly increased but unfortunately, she was currently not in a healthy enough state to do act on it. She had to get better as soon as possible.
