Ch.79- Have you guys ever thought about how I feel?

The sudden kiss caused her to step back quickly, but despite it being only a few seconds, Wen Jiexi’s cheeks were furiously red and her head felt dizzy. She hid her face into Su Chenyu’s embrace, revealing only her blushing ears to the crowd. Ahhh, so embarrassing! There’s so many people watching! 

While Su Chenyu merely smiled and happily hugged the little sheep in her arms. As for those people who grudgingly accepted the situation but still held disgust in her eyes, she will ignore them for now. Her current intention is to let everyone know that this girl is hers, that this girl in her arms is the person she loves. She couldn’t care less about the matters of other people 

“Good, good, well everyone, please enjoy the banquet! Don’t be polite, eat to your heart’s content!” Su Tonghao clapped his hands and his expression didn’t waver. It seems that the head of the Su family does not oppose. 

When everyone heard Su Tongbao’s words, they all slowly dispersed. The other person already had a lover, what right did they have to pursue and fight for them now? However, today’s events will undoubtedly become the gossip of the upper class for the next few months. Of course, there are some parts that cannot be said as after all, one cannot afford to offend the Su family. 

“I am really sorry, Xiaoliang, but it seems our Little Yu has found someone she likes.” Long Junzhu said with a smile and didn’t bother hiding her good mood. As the daughter of a triad boss, she naturally knew all about the darkness of the upper class more than anyone else. After all, when someone from the upper-class wanted something ‘taken care of’ they often called on the underworld gangs to do their dirty work. As one of the heirs of the biggest triads, she had a network of communications that told her everything about the relationships of the upper-class with the underworld. 

News of the shady dealings and disgusting things the Feng Family has done had long entered her ears long ago. It really was an eye-opener. Although a lot of the information is rather superficial, it would be enough to cause a mess in the Feng family. As for the information that dug a little deeper, it may be able to damage the Feng family’s reputation but now was not the right time to take action. 

Moreover, the four other major families all have different information on their hands. If they were to add it all up, it would be rather impressive. Especially the Xue family. For Xue Molin, the Xue family had become obsessed with monitoring every movement the Feng family made and thus caused the Feng family to move cautiously the past few years. 

Although she wanted to kick out this extremely disgusting family from her sight, it wasn’t the right timing to do so. Otherwise, they would never allow them to shame in front of them so easily. Did they really think she was so stupid to let her enemies off just like that? Long Junzhu looked at  Feng Xiaoliang’s hypocritical appearance and felt even more disgusted. If it weren’t for this occasion and his identity, she would’ve long called some people to beat up this idiot and then dump him off a cliff. 

“It’s alright, Auntie, Little Yu is allowed to have her own thoughts.  Since she has someone she likes, I can’t force it.” Feng Xiaoliang concealed the anger in his eyes and revealed a gentle smile instead of a poor man who won over his love. This heartbroken look only made the group of women below feel more excited and distressed at the same time. However….since Su Chenyu doesn’t like men, especially this man in particular, did that mean they had a chance now? 

As soon as  Feng Xiaoliang stepped off the stage, he was immediately surrounded by a bunch of crooning women. However, a trace of fragility appeared between his eyebrows and his eyes locked onto Su Chenyu and then the Wen Jiexi in her arms. His actions only caused the other women to feel a grudge towards Su Chenyu in their hearts. 

But these women were in the minority. Most of the people present are all secret fans of Su Chenyu. Although Feng Xiao is good-looking and has a good family background, what about it? Even if you have a good family background it doesn’t mean you deserve admiration. 

Many artists tend to be paired into a popular CP (T/N: CP= couple which usually is equivalent to a “ship”) but Su Chenyu was never seen to be shipped with anyone. Previously, because of the relationship between the two of them on the show and the photos as evidence, many have raised a CP banner for Little Sheep Wen and Big Bad Wolf Su. Thus, a small club of fans for this CP was formed and many Su Chenyu and Wen Jiexi’s regular fans supported this CP. 

And in this crowd, there were many secret fans who supported CP. In their spare time, they usually try to find photos of this CP and satisfy their cravings. Who would’ve expected that they would one day witness this CP sprinkling dog food in real life! Their CP has come true! Of course they were happy! Even if they are forced to eat dog food, they would happily chew it up! And so, many of them took photos secretly for their collection. 

Compared to the other fans who desperately search for photos online, they felt very proud of themselves. Hehehe, we have something you don’t~ Do you feel jealous yet? But we won’t give any of these photos to you~ 

The other unlucky CP fans: You bastards! You bunch of yellow-bellied cowards, I dare you to release those photos! 

Meanwhile, Wen Jiexi was quickly pulled away from the crowd by Su Chenyu while Long Junzhu, Su Wenqian, Su Wencheng and Su Tonghao watched as their granddaughter/daughter/niece who is the protagonist of the banquet ran away from her own banquet. Instead, the heartless protagonist left them behind to deal with these fake snake smiles and flattering schemers. They could only smile without tears as they began to play mind games with these people. 

Even if Su Chenyu knew that she was being cursed as unreliable by her elders, she wouldn’t care. She only cared about the girl in her arms and rushed over to the sofa area that was hidden in the corner. The same sofa that Wen Jiexi had sat in for most of the night. Just as they sat down and she prepared to spend the rest of the banquet alone with her lover, when Li Lingmeng rushed over for a smile.

Su Chenyu, who originally wanted to spend alone time with Little Xi, felt her expression darken. She wants to spend time with Little Xi, alone!!! And open the gift her wifey prepared for her! 

However, before she could tell Li Lingmeng to leave, Li Lingqing, who was dragging a Chu Heling behind her, and Xue Molin all followed suit and sat down without asking. Goddess Su’s face was completely black now, but the people in front of her have very thick faces. Even if the aura around Goddess Su is currently cold and scary, it could not suppress these gossiping hens. 

“You guys….” Wen Jiexi looked at the four super wattage light bulbs (T/N: lightbulb = third wheel in Chinese slang) that suddenly appeared, and her dizzy mind became even more confused. 

“Little Xi, tell me the truth, since when….” Earlier, Li Lingmeng was shocked silly. She had wanted to rush up and slap the person next to her at least ten times and then ask them if it hurt or if they were dreaming, but unfortunately a certain family member was standing next to her so she couldn’t act unless she wanted to die. 

So as soon as she saw Wen Jiexi and Su Chenyu step off the stage, she rushed over quickly without caring about her image. Meanwhile, the crowd around her were dumbfounded. Are all girls this fast nowadays? Maybe she’s on the track team? 

Then the crowd witnessed Li Lingqing, Chu Heling and Xue Molin walk at breakneck speeds in high heels…..at this point they’re just not going to pay attention to the weirdness of this banquet anymore. 

The men: We still don’t understand the world of women. 

The women: Gahhhh! I want to go over there and gossip too!! QAQ 

“We’ve been together since….since the variety show….” Wen Jiexi said nervously, holding Su Chenyu’s arm.

“Ai, no, since you guys lived in the same room.” Xue Molin said, her chin in her hand as she raised an eyebrow. Then she glanced at Chu Heling and Li Lingqing beside her. The couple next to her must’ve known a long time ago too. Looking at the two happy couples in front of them, she couldn’t help but think of that unforgettable person in her heart. Even if she wanted to explain, the other party wouldn’t give her a chance. Just thinking about it made her feel bitter and she decided to break her own rules as she chugged down a glass of wine. 

“Y-You people kept a secret from me again!” Li Lingmeng looked at her sister, then at Chu Heling, then at Wen Jiexi and began to pinch Wen Jiexi’s plump cheeks. 

“You little bastard, you actually dared to hide this from your best friend! Even when it was official you didn’t even say a word, you….” 

Suddenly she felt a cold gaze on her and Li Lingmeng felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up. She glanced to the side and saw Su Chenyu was staring at her coldly and at…her hands that were on Wen Jiexi’s cheeks. It was only a light glance, but Li Lingmeng felt she was being crushed by a mountain of pressure. 

“Cough, don’t hide it from me next time, okay?” With a dry cough, Li Lingmeng withdrew her hands and stuck them on her own hips instead. Inwardly, she was complaining, this possessiveness…is a little too strong. 

“Where’s my gift?” Su Chenyu pulled Wen Jiexi to her side while giving the lightbulbs beside her a displeased glare and a pout. 

“I….” Wen Jiexi thought that Su Chenyu was talking to her when Su Chenyu gently covered her mouth and leaned close to her ear, 

“I want to open your gift when it’s only the two of us.” 

Does this mean she wanted the two of them to be alone?  Wen Jiexi’s face turned red, and then nodded in understanding as she turned to face the other people. 

Li Lingmeng: Wait, what? We were supposed to prepare gifts?!

Li Lingqing looked at her sister speechlessly: This is a birthday banquet, of course you should’ve prepared a gift! You think you can eat and drink for free? 

Fortunately for this silly sister of hers, who will probably be kidnapped in the future and then help her kidnappers count the ransom money, this older sister has come prepared. She took out a box and then handed it to Su Chenyu. 

“Here you go.” 

Su Chenyu raised her eyebrows and accepted it, but didn’t open it. After all, it is not considered polite to open a gift in front of the giver at a fancy occasion like this one. 

Then Chu Heling took out a small cloth bag and Xue Molin took out some leather. These were small gifts to be exchanged between friends and were not that valuable items. Su Chenyu put the things on the table and then glanced at the four of them. 

“En, well the gifts have been received. You can leave now.” 

Li Lingmeng: So my Goddess turns out to be such a shameless person? 

Li Lingqing: You’ve used us and then threw us to the side! 

Chu Heling: Sister Chenyu, were you always this kind of person?!! 

Xue Molin…..well, Xue Molin couldn’t care less as her only purpose today was to deliver the leather gift and then take the opportunity to slap the Feng family. She was in a better mood now and had no interest in being force fed dog food and even less interest in other people’s relationships right now. And who knows since when, but there were now a dozen empty glasses beside her as she took a sip from the current half-filled glass in her hand. 

Xue Molin stood up swayingly, her cheeks flushed and her eyes unfocused. It was not hard to tell that the empty glasses on the table were probably all hers. 

“Sister Xue, are you okay?” Wen Jiexi asked worriedly. This is the first time she’s seen the usually energetic Sister Xue so sad and fragile. 

“Sister Xue, it’s not suitable for you to leave like this.” Chu Heling looked at the current Cue Molin and sighed inwardly. At the same time, she looked over at Su Chenyu. Out of everyone here, probably only Su Chenyu will be the only one with the capability to help Xue Molin now. That is…if Su Chenyu is willing to do so. 

Li Lingqing grabbed Chu Heling’s arm and shook her head. Matters like these can not be forced. Even with Su Chenyu’s help, a misunderstanding like that can not be solved in a day and it may even make the situation worse. It might even affect the relationship between that person and Su Chenyu. 

Meanwhile Li Lingmeng on the side looked left and right but couldn’t figure out what dumb mind game these people were playing now. She looked over at Wen Jiexi. Seeing that she was also confused…..what had happened? Of course, she never will admit that it’s because she was too lazy to find out for herself and completely missed out on the gossip of the upper class! 

“Wait, Sister Xue.” At this moment, Su Chenyu suddenly spoke. 

“En….” Xue Molin raised her head when she heard her name, a silly expression on her face. Sister Xue, your reliable image! It’s been shattered because of your drinking, don’t you know?! 

“Xxx Street, the third building to the right, second-floor apartment xooo.” At that moment, Su Chenyu blurted out an address. The address of a certain someone who had begged her to help her hide from the Xue family. Su Chenyu had a lot of properties anyways so she helped that person out for the sake of friendship and even helped that person change residences every few months to shake the Xue family off her tail. 

Xue Molin stared at Su Chenyu in a daze, so who knows if she was even sober enough to understand what Su Chenyu just said, but Li Lingqing and Chu Heling beside her gave Su Chenyu a surprised look. 

And Wen Jiexi and Li Lingmeng on the side were still confused as they could be. Just what on earth is going on? Could it be the so-called generation gap? It can be said that their heads were filled with ridiculous speculations right now. 

“Thank…you…” After a while, Xue Molin’s eyes brightened and a trace of excitement and gratitude flashed in her eyes. She gave Su Chenyu a nod before leaving without hesitation. 

“Is it okay if we let Sister Xue leave like this?” “Li Lingmeng asked inquisitively. Although Sister Xue had given a verbal reply just now, is really okay to let such a drunk person leave? If they were to drive in this state, won’t they end up in a car accident? 

“Don’t worry, this banquet is hosted by the Su family and we have hired security to help our drunk guests home safely.” Su Chenyu said lightly as she picked up a slice of cake. 

Su Chenyu: So when are you guys going to leave. 

Li Lingqing: Ha! Want to live in a world with only you two?! No way! I won’t let you! Bite me if you can! 

Blue veins jumped on Su Chenyu’s forehead and she glanced at Chu Heling signalling with her eyes: Take this shameless girlfriend of yours away please. 

Li Lingqing: Who’s calling who shameless? 

Chu Heling, who was eating her cake silently, ignored the fiery gaze burning into her body. 

“Aha, I found you!” At that moment, a man with gritted teeth yelled out in a furious voice. 

The man was none other than Wen Linshu, Wen Jiexi’s older brother. 

At this moment, he stood not too far away, panting for breath like he had run all over the place searching for them. The veins on his forehead were dancing crazily as he glared at Su Chenyu who was hugging the waist of his baby sister. He made his way forward quickly, 

“Su Chenyu! You bastard! Let go of my sister!” After saying so, Wen Linshu moved forward to take his sister away. 

However, Su Chenyu was much faster. Taking advantage of her proximity to Wen Jiexi, she simply pulled Wen Jiexi to sit into her lap, making Wen Linshu grab at nothing but air. 

“Brother.” Su Chenyu called out to Wen Linshu without a hint of embarrassment. 

“Just who is your brother?!!” Wen Linshu yelled. 

“Little Xi is my wifey so since you’re Little Xi’s brother, you are naturally my brother as well.” Su Chenyu looked at Wen Linshu as if she was looking at a fool. Of course, only Wen Linshu could see the hidden smugness in those eyes that was provoking him to continue. 

Seeing that the other person was looking at him with the eyes of someone who won, Wen Linshu felt beyond furious. If they weren’t at her party, he would’ve rushed forward and punched her! Earlier, if it weren’t for Wen parents holding him back, he would’ve rushed on stage and beaten up this woman who dared to take advantage of his Little Xi in public! 

Hmph, Little Xi belongs to the Wen family! I won’t let her be married away to your family! 

“Sister Su, this is not appropriate….p-please let me go.” Wen Jiexi is currently sitting on Su Chenyu’s lap and their legs were touching each other, so of course her face was blushing red again. She couldn’t struggle out of Su Chenyu’s grip and she didn’t want to mess up their dress either. 

“It’s okay, I like this.” Su Chenyu rubbed Wen Jieix’s soft earlobes affectionately and then underneath the murderous eyes of Wen Linshu, she chuckled as she fed a piece of cake into Wen Jieci’s mouth. Then seeing that Wen Jiexi was obediently eating the cake she fed her, a satisfied look appeared in her eyes. 

AHHHHHHH! Little Xi! Quick, come over here to brother! That person is a bad guy, a big bad wolf! Wen Linshu was currently feeling very regretful right now. Just why didn’t he stay next to Little Xi’s side the entire night? If he knew this would’ve happened, even if Little Xi was going to meet that woman in private after the banquet, he would’ve made sure Little Xi didn’t come! He would’ve watched as Su Chenyu tried to squirm her way out of Feng Xiaoliang’s proposal and then he could even secretly take a few photos to send to Little Xi. Then he would say, ‘Heng, just look at this! You’re Sister Su is this type of person!’ Ahhhhhh! Now he understood why his parents were hiding from him earlier! Damnit, did they even care about this son of theirs anymore? Is he even their real son? QAQ!

“Hmph, well I object to this!” Wen Linshu said angrily, as the eldest brother-in-law…no, as the big brother, how could he allow a bad woman like Su Chenyu to enter the house! At least it should’ve been someone like the gentle Chu Heling, someone who will treat his Little Xi tenderly, even more so than him! 

Unfortunately for Wen Linshu, no one seemed to accept his protest. The three bystanders looked like they were watching a good show and the protagonist was just using this to show off her affection. 

After feeding the cake, Su Chenyu then picked up a glass of orange juice and handed it over to Wen Jiexi. She even lightly used her fingers to wipe the cream off the corners of Wen Jiexi’s mouth and then licked her fingers directly with her tongue. 

Li Lingqing: Be more reserved! This is a public space! There are a lot of single dogs here! 

Chu Heling: See no evil, hear no evil, do no evil. I do not see anything. But please be more considerate of the eyes and stomach of the people around you. Dog food is not as delicious as you think. 

Li Lingmeng: Goddess Su is such an affectionate lover! Wahhhhhhh, when can I find somebody like that! 

Someone outstanding and good looking! A woman is fine too! As long as they’re pleasing to the eyes! 

Wen Linshu: As a big brother, I can feel myself dying! You actually dare to show affection in front of this big brother?! You are challenging this big brother’s authority! I object, I object, I vehemently object! 

“Sister Su!” Wne Jiexi noticed the onlooker’s strange gazes and glanced at Su Chenyu while pouting, but Su Chenyu just decided to take this opportunity to kiss her again, causing her face to go red again. 

Everyone else: My mother! (T/N: chinese version of “My God!”) How much more dog food must you feed us! Have you not heard of the saying that too much PDA will cause an early death! 

“Brother…what were you saying? Something about an objection?” Wne Jiexi looked at the smiling Su Chenyu in front of her and changed the subject abruptly in her embarrassment. 

“Ah….Little Xi, don’t you think you should find someone who is about your age, or someone who is one or two years older than you? Five years is just too much! Brother will introduce you to some better people, ok?” Wne Linshu persuaded, completely ignoring SU Chenyu’s warning gaze. Hmph, this is my little sister? If I don’t give her to you, what are you going to do? Kidnap her? Ha! 

But even if Wen Linshu tried to reason, the person he wanted to persuade would not cooperate. 

Wen Jiexi titled her head and asked curiously, 

“Isn’t Mom and Dad also five years apart in age?” 

“That…there’s a generation gap in that…..you want to follow the current trend, don’t be like those old farts.” Wen Linshu said after a pause. That’s right, how could he forget his parents? Damn it! Mom, Dad, why couldn’t you be more 2-3 years apart?!! Do you want your son to get lose because of your example?

Wen husband and wife: You’re blaming us?!

“But I think Sister Su is very good to me….” Wen Jiexi said naively while Su Chenyu beside her felt happy and satisfied. She placed her hand on Wen Jiexi’s hand and clasped their hands together. 

More dog food incoming! Please be sure to avoid it! 

The eldest brother-in-law vs. Goddess Su. Eldest-brother-in-law has lost the first round. 

“Little Xi, you’re young now, so you probably don;t understand the sinisterness of society and people’s heart, I-” However, he was interrupted before he could finish. 

“Brother! I am 20 years old! I am not a child anymore! I am an adult!” Wen Jiexi said with puffed cheeks.

“Uh…yes…Little Xi is an adult now.” Wen Linshu smiled dryly, and then looked behind his sister to see Su Chenyu’s mocking gaze directed at him. His eyebrow twitched. He was so angry right now that he could breathe fire! Stop hiding behind Little Xi! Come out and fight! One-on-one! 

Round Two: Wen Linshu’s loss. 

“Little Xi, we still don’t know if Mom or Dad will agree to this. You have to know that although our family is rather open, two girls is still something that is not easily accepted.” Wen Linshu bitterly said but then a pleasant voice replied, 

“Ehhhh, why would we oppose it?  Little Xi, Mom and Dad will support you~ Whoever you want to be with is up to you~ Mom and Dad will support you along the whole way~ Anyhow, with your brother here, there’s no need to worry about the family business. Don’t be afraid to love~ It doesn’t matter if you like women, you can have a child through adoption or even IVF.” 

Who knows when they arrived, but suddenly the Su parents and the Wen parents were standing in front of them. They all seemed to be smiling and have come to an agreement that satisfied both pirates. Just now, the voice belonged to Tan Yashi who spoke with a domineering wave of her hand. 

Wen Linshu: Mom, have you ever thought of your son’s feelings? Your son is heartbroken! 

Round Three: Wen Linshu dies.
