Ch.80- Everything is the Feng Family’s fault?!
“Mom… why are you guys here…” Wen Linshu said in a weak voice.
“Since Little Xi is over here, why wouldn’t we be? Plus, we also want to take a good look at our Little Xi’s future spouse.” Tan Yashi said with a smile.
“Mom….they still haven’t even compared the eight characters yet to see if they’re compatible. Why decide so early….” Wen Linshu started with a pout when he was interrupted by Su Wenqian with a smile,
“This is Yashi’s son, yes? Sure enough, you’re a talented young fellow. Linshu, look at how good Jiexi and Little Yu look together, when do you think our two families will be joined?”
“I think the sooner, the better. I’ll get someone to help us pick out an auspicious date. We must get this done early, we can’t let this cute little girl get snatched away by others.” Long Junzhu smiled with a hand covering her mouth.
The husband from the Su family: Are you complimenting our daughter/ or saying that our daughter can’t get married fast enough? People will think you’re too anxious from your words!

“I think that sounds great.” Su Chenyu agreed with a curt nod of her head. She couldn’t wait to tell the world that this person beside her belonged to her and only her. She had checked her girlfriend’s history and found out that this person had been confessed to countless times since childhood. Fortunately Wen Jiexi was a little dense, so dense that it made even her helpless, but because of that denseness Wen Jiexi had not stolen away from her.
“My fellow in-laws, now that our Little Yu has agreed, what do you guys think?” Su Wencheng had received a wink from his wife and so he went over to Wen Shan with a bitter expression. The other party wore a similar expression and both could see the obvious meaning in the other’s eyes, 「Ah, I haven’t pampered my daughter enough yet and she’s already getting married out like this! Who knows the pain of being a Dad!」. Unfortunately, their wife’s words was like an imperial decree, they could not go against it.
“As long as our Little Xi agrees.” Wen Shan said while rubbing his nose.
In an instant, everyone’s eyes fell on Wen Jiexi.
Meanwhile, Wen Jiexi was a little confused. Didn’t she come here for a banquet? How come she’s suddenly getting married?
“Little Xi, don’t you want to be with me?” Su Chenyu leaned forward and said in a somewhat disappointed tone when she saw Wen Jiexi’s stunned expression.

“Careful.” Su Chenyu said softly and then looked down to see that her hands were wrapped around Wen Jiexi’s….buttocks. She sighed inwardly at the same time, ahhhh, feels so good to the touch! So soft!
Wen Jiexi who was suddenly taken advantage of…..is now frozen still.
Li Lingqing & Chu Heling & Li Lingmeng: We seemed to have seen something extraordinary. *Covers their faces*
Su parents: Is our daughter that desperate? To eat tofu right in front of us? (T/N: eat tofu: slang for taking advantage of someone-> usually sexually).
Wen parents: Oh, seems like their relationship is really good. Just look at Little Xi, she’s not even protesting. She must really like this granddaughter from the Su family.
Wen Linshu: Just look at this beast! She dared to even lay a hand on our Little Xi! Shouldn’t we do a thorough investigation on this!

Especially when it comes to marriage. The parents that didn’t want to hurt their relationship with their child might let their children find true love and have their happily ever after. Most families in the upper-class aimed for profit. Love is just something extra. People who marry first and then fall in love later is common. And so, this is the sorrow of wealthy children, unable to choose who they wish to live with for the rest of their lives.
“Yes, that’s very true. Jiexi, if you like someone, you must grasp onto them tightly. If you hesitate, your opportunity will slip away.” Tan Yashi added. She has seen too many noble ladies who looked like they were blessed on the surface but in reality is not as harmonious in private. It is already good enough if a young miss can marry a husband who will respect them but treat them icily and at a distance. “What my fellow in-law said is correct. “Su Chenyu! Ahhhh!” Wen Linshu screamed bitterly while clutching the sofa, but the person in question didn’t even respond. All he could do was sit there sullenly and then get up to grab some food.
“Little Xi, come over here and eat something.”
He tried to tempt Wen Jiexi to get off Su Chenyu’s lap with the alluring food and finally get his sister away from that big bad wolf!
Unfotatley, Su Chenyu seemed to have seen through his thoughts and then just directly took his plate of food. Then with the food he had piled on the plate, she began to gently feed Wen Jiexi with it. Wen Linshu vomited another three liters of blood that day.
Li Lingmeng & Li Lingqing & Chu Heling: Do we not exist? Hello? Well, this is someone else’s family drama, might as well eat melon seeds on the side and watch quietly.

She didn’t understand it anyways and even if Sister Qing tried to explain, she still wouldn’t get it. However, she did understand about her brother being the President of Xingle.”
“Ah…yeah…” Wen Linshu’s eyes wandered, and he suddenly regretted that he didn’t leave with his parents just now. Maybe he could’ve even persuaded them to delay the marriage. However in a moment of stupidity, he stayed behind and was now being interrogated by Little Xi. Mom, Dad, come save your poor son!
“So I got in through the back door?” (T/N: back door chinese slang that means to use connections to get stuff. Nepotism basically.) Wen Jiexi said with a pout. Thinking about it now, as a new artist, it was rather strange to have been able to access so many resources. Therefore, it must’ve been something her brother arranged.
“Ah? Through the back door? Wen Linshu scratched his head in confusion. He knew that Little Xi had told him she wanted to get in with her own ability. So he handed her over to Xue Molin instead of putting her directly under his authority. Just when did he push her through the back door?
“Actually because you have a gold-star agent, it’s normal for you to have so many more resources than the average artist.” Seeing the stiff expression on her boss’s face. Chu Heling kindly explained everything and put him in a better light.
“Is that so? Wen Jiexi looked at her big brother suspiciously and then thinking that Chu Heling was helping her brother on purpose, she turned to Su Chenyu.
“What she said is true. If they can’t even give their artists more resources than the average agent, then they don’t deserve to be called a gold-star agent.” Su Chenyu glanced at Wen Linshu. This man is her brother-in-law now she can’t make him look too bad.

“No, no, it’s okay. It’s not wrong of you to suspect me.” Seeing that the others had given him an opportunity to retreat, he gratefully took it. Then he pursed his lips at Su Chenyu. Hmph, don’t think I’ll hand Little Xi over to you just because of this small favor!
While the brother and his new sister-in-law were fighting on this side of things, a certain Xue Molin was currently sitting in a taxi with a blank face as she looked at the scenery outside.
“This-hic! Is not-hic-my house.”
“Miss, this is the address you told me to go to. Why would you tell me to come here if you didn’t want me to?” Taxi drivers like him hated picking up drunk people the most but since this woman looked beautiful and rich, he decided it wouldn’t hurt to help her out. He never expected, however, that the woman wouldn’t even remember where she lived. At least she didn’t vomit in his car or he would’ve thrown her out a long time ago.
Xue Molin shook her head and looked up at the strange building in front of her with unfocused eyes. Oh, right, what did Su Chenyu say to her….
“What was the address I said…”
“Xxx Street, Building No.3, second-floor apartment xooo.” The driver said patiently. One must be patient with alcoholics and not laugh at them. He remembers that a taxi driver friend of his was beaten up by a drunk once. Another time, he heard that a drunk woman had pulled the taxi driver’s hair and even a small piece of scalp was torn off. It must’ve been a sight to see.
And because of these incidents. Taxi drivers would try not to drive customers like them unless they were accompanied by sober guests. Usually the drunks were simply avoided.
But he was deceived by her appearance. He saw the woman standing by the road and thought she was a normal customer. It wasn’t until she sat in his car did he smell the alcohol but then he decided he should be fine based on the woman’s looks. Next time, he will not be tricked by another’s beauty.
“Uh…yes…here….” Xue Molin rubbed her eyes, nodded, and then fumbled in her purse for her wallet. She took out a 100 yuan bill,
“Here, keep the change.” After saying so, Xue Molin staggered out of the car and stood on her swaying feet.
When the driver watched Xue Molin search through her purse, he had expected the worst. He thought the woman was going to pull a ‘dine-and-dash’ scenario and not pay the fare. But looking at the 100 yuan bill with the face of old grandpa Mao on it, he was grinning from ear to ear.
“Thank you, thank you, miss! Next time, if you need a taxi, I am your man!” Although he said those words on his lips, the driver knew from the generous payment that this woman was not someone who would usually take a taxi. He was just lucky today that he could meet someone like her. After making sure Xue Molin was still standing, he drove away and hoped to find another client as generous as Xue Molin.
“Third building….second floor…” Xue Molin said slurredly and then slowly walked down the road while looking up aimlessly. It was only around 7 in the evening, so there was still a lot of traffic in the area. Although Xue Molin’s clothing and appearance attracted some attention, nobody tried to approach her and strike up a conversation. Plus the heavy smell of wine just caused people to frown and back away from her. But seeing that Xue Molin didn’t do anything, they only glanced at her a few times at most and then left quickly. As long as she didn’t make any trouble, they will leave her alone.
She finally reached the third building and then walked up the stairs to the second floor and arrived at the apartment in the address. Xue Molin looked dumbfoundedly at the apartment number in front of her with unfocused eyes. She then shook her head vigorously and then pressed on the little doorbell in front of her.
Meanwhile, Wang Anyi, who had just finished taking a shower and had dried her hair, was sitting on the sofa while absentmindedly chewing on an apple. Today is Su Chenyu’s birthday, so there is nothing for her to do other than organize the scripts.
With this in mind, Wang Anyi turned on the laptops in front of her. There are 3 laptops placed on the table, and all of them displayed a different set of information. Although Wang Anyi is an agent, she is also an expert when it comes to computers and technology. Her computer skills is one of her foundations for becoming a legendary gold-star agent. One of the computers held the scripts, another had Weibo open that allowed her to search up the artist, and the last one displayed current news on any information regarding the entertainment circle. It can be said she was doing three things at once, efficiently performing multiple tasks at once.
After ten minutes, she finished eating her apple. She touched her stomach and it growled. Today is Little Su’s birthday and usually Little Su would accompany her to eat cakes and chat. But this year was different, and Little Su had left her behind. It really made her feel lonely. However, she understood that as the Young Miss of the Su family and Su Chenyu had a duty to fulfill. She just felt a little conflicted to learn that after all these years that Su Chenyu was actually the heir to the Su family.
And speaking of rich family heirs….it made her think of that person….

Wang Anyi stood up and walked quickly into the kitchen. She opened her fridge, took out a carton of milk and then drank directly from it. The cold liquid flowed down her throat and soothed Wang Anyi’s inner anxiety.
She rubbed her eyebrows. Was she under too much pressure lately? That the stress was making her think of that irritating and disgusting person?

At this moment the doorbell rang and she froze. Who was visiting her at this hour? She remembered she didn’t have any appointments today. As for paparazzi….there shouldn’t be any. This is one of Little Su’s many properties, so how could it be so easily discovered? She looked through the little eyehole on the door and could vaguely make out it was a woman. However, she couldn’t see the woman’s face clearly.
After thinking about it for a bit, she decided to open the door in the end. But when she saw who the visitor was, her face immediately paled and she hurriedly closed the door. However, the uninvited visitor shamelessly rushed half of her body through the door frame before she closed the door.
Wang Anyi could only glare at the person,
“Get out! You are not welcome here!”
“Yiyi…yi….” Xue Molin held up a hand towards Wang Anyi but Wang Anyi coldly avoided her touch.
“Xue Molin, we no longer have any relations with each other! Please, stop stalking me! Get out!” Wang Anyi pushed the person off her door. She could smell a strong stench of alcohol coming from the other person. The other party was clearly drunk so her tone was more harsh than usual.
“Little Yiyi, you….won’t you listen to my explanation…I…” Xue Molin suddenly lost her balance due to the push and slip forwards to fall onto the floor. She seemed to have barely noticed and struggled to get up. Then she moved into the apartment and towards Wang Anyi, as if she wanted to touch her but Wang Anyi avoided her again and she collapsed on the floor again.
Wang Anyi noticed that the noise had attracted the attention of her neighbors who had come out to see what was happening. Her face darkened and she closed the door behind her. She crossed her arms as she looked at the person swaying in front of her and sneered,
“Miss Xue, what are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be with that young master from the Feng family? I remember that you and him were very intimate with each other. I’ve already given you my clessings, why can’t you let me go already!”
“N-No…that’s not what happened….” Xue Molin shook her head frantically, rubbing and pulling her hair. She didn’t care if her hair was messy, or how unkempt she looked. Her eyes flashed a crazy light and there was deep hatred in them,
“The Feng family….that rotten old man from the Feng family….he took a fancy to you and so I fought with him for several months on the matter. But that old man actually dared to scheme against me, damn, damn that Feng family. That man….he was that rotten man’s little brother, a fool who listens to whatever his brother says. He pushed me against a corner, but I didn’t expect you would see it. I wanted to chase after you but I was blocked by the thugs the Feng family hired. Those damn bastards…Feng family, because of the Feng family….you and I are at odds with each other!” The angry roar that came from Xue Molin’s mouth was full of emotions, you could feel the pain in her words as she spat out all the scars of her heart to the one person she trusted the most.
“But they told me…..”
“That I was getting married? I never thought the Feng family was even shameless enough to say whatever nonsense they wanted. Do they really think I’m as soft as the Su family? Over the years I have been slowly stripping away their power, destroying them piece by piece. I will bring down the Feng Family, I will tear them apart brick by brick if I have to! I will definitely….” Her voice was hoarse and scratchy as she screamed her rage, but she stopped as she lifted her head. She seemed to be afraid that she would scare away the person in front of her and continued on cautiously at a softer tone,
“Little Yiyi, please don’t, please don’t ignore me anymore….I’ve searched everywhere for you but you kept hiding from me and when I see you avoid me…I…it hurts, it hurts so much. Please…I’m begging you…don’t, dont’ leave me….don’t leave me behind ….” Xue Molin clutched her chest tightly as she cried bitterly in front of Wang Anyiu.
Wang Anyi looked at the crying person in front of her in a daze. In her mind, this person has always been an arrogant, smug, seductive sly fox that was always smiling with her fox eyes lifted upwards. Instead, this person in front of her had reddened eyes that were stained with tears, theri hair messy and their clothes torn. She couldn’t recognize this person as the arrogant agent she’s always known.
