Ch.93-If I can’t kiss you, what about licking?!
The next morning, with Su Chenyu supporting her, she walked into the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Although there were no hickeys, her entire skin was pink and an abnormal shade of pink as well.
When she remembered the reason why her skin was this shade of pink, Wen Jiexi’s face burned red and then she looked over pitifully at Su Chenyu. Yesterday, this evil trickster didn’t kiss her like last time but….actually licked her all over so there wouldn’t be any obvious marks. She licked her!
She never would’ve thought that licking would be more shameful than a passionate kiss, especially for certain parts of her body….Wen Jiexi looked down at the skin beneath her shirt and at her sensitive areas that were much more swollen and red than they normally were. And the big bad wolf had actually said to her that since these areas would never be exposed to anyone else, then it didn’t matter if she licked them just a little more.
And so, now the shades of red and pink were densely concentrated in these few places and now, whenever anyone even brushes against her clothes, she would feel a strange buzzing sensation! Urgh! That beast!
Su Chenyu looked at Wen Jiexi’s face that seemed to say, ‘Stay away from me, I am very fierce! Rawr!’ and naturally she noticed how Wen Jiexi’s face was flushed red when she looked under her shirt. Although she felt just a little bit of guilt inside of her heart, when she thought about the beautiful images of last night, of the little sheep gasping beneath her, her guilt instantly disappears. If enduring her fiancée’s resentment is the price she has to pay, then so be it. Anyhow, she’ll make it up to her fiancée later, after all, she knows what the little sheep likes.
“Today, I asked them to specially prepare your favorite congee with century eggs and pork. There should be some downstairs that can be warmed up immediately and we can eat it when we go downstairs.” Su Chenyu said as she wiped Wen Jiexi’s face with a wet towel.
“Really? And we won’t be tardy even if we take our time?” Wen Jiexi’s eyes brightened when she heard those words but then she thought about how they were supposed to be shooting today. Won’t there be a tiem conflict?
“I’ve already checked. Our scenes are all in the afternoon, so we can take our time with breakfast.” Su Chenyu lied easily through her teeth. Inside, she was thinking about asking Lin Yunxi to give Director Peng a message.
Director Peng: “Fine, fine, you stubborn lady. You’re in charge here~”
“Is that so, then let’s go!” After drying off her face, Wen Jiexi jumped excitedly out of the bathroom.
Su Chenyu: …..Why do I always feel like food is more important than me in my fiancée’s heart?!
Su Chenyu, who was slightly moping inside her heart, sighed as she realized she couldn’t do anything to Wen Jiexi. It wasn’t like she could force the other to stay with her in bed all day and profess her love over and over again. If she did that, they wouldn’t be able to film at all today and then it would be even more difficult to make it up to the little sheep later. Su Chenyu will not do such brainless things! Of course, if they were in the right place and it’s the right time then…..hahaha….
Wen Jiexi suddenly shuddered. Why did a strange chill just go down her back? And why did she feel like somebody was scheming against her? Hmmm….must be that rotten bastard named Feng!
Feng Xiaoliang: “Hey hey, I’m innocent! Don’t accuse the wrong person!”
And so, the two of them happily went downstairs to eat breakfast and since their two bosses aren’t going to work, Xue Molin, Li Lingmeng and Lin Yunxi enjoyed their breakfast today without any sense of hurry.
“Sister Xue, this congee with century eggs and pork is even better than the one you make!” Li Lingmeng stirred the congee slowly, looking at the fresh ingredients in it. From dried shrimps, century eggs, to lean strips of meat, each and every ingredient was rich and delicious. Each bite made her hum in satisfaction, and there were even slices of seafood on the side they could cook in the small pot next to them if they wanted to. Ahhh, the service here is really great! You can even eat hot pot on the side! Should she ask the chef for a soup base as well to go with the pot?
“Look at how many ingredients they use and then think about how many ingredients I use! If you want to pay for all this, then I’ll gladly make you a congee just like this one in the future!” Xue Molin immediately grew snappy at Li Lingmeng insulting her cooking and slapped the back of the brat’s head with an angry face.
“No, I don’t want that!” Li Lingmeng closed her mouth immediately. Trying to get money out of this miser’s pockets? Hah, forget it.
“Then do you have any more complaints?” Xue Molin rolled her eyes and asked.
“Wait, we can just ask the company to pay for the ingredients as necessary expenses! Just put it under Jiexi’s tab!” Li Lingmeng said slyly.
“Ah, why didn’t I think about this!” Xue Molin clapped her hands together, her eyes bright and full of amusement, “When we return, I will cook a full-fledged feat everyday! I’ll guarantee that you’ll eat well everyday!”
“Whooo!”
Wen Jiexi: Hey, hey, the person who you’re planning on screwing over is right in front of you alright! Doesn’t your heart twist with guilt from it all?
“Aiya~ Little Xi, you’re skin is so pink today~ Looks like you used too much moisturizer yesterday~” Xue Molin had immediately noticed Wen Jiexi’s sad puppy dog eyes and the pink the moment she walked in. She couldn’t help but tease her a little.
“N-No, what are you talking about?!” Wen Jiexi gritted her teeth and averted her eyes. She did not want to admit that she had been pushed down and eaten again. She did not want to be teased again. She won’t admit it even if she dies. What can you do about it~
“Hey, Jiexi, did you know that right now your appearance is like this…..” Li Lingmeng held up her phone and showed Wen Jiexi her screen. On it was a picture of a little sheep whose wool had been shaved off, leaving only the pink tender flesh behind. Li Lingmeng smiled and pointed at the sheep and then looked at Wen Jiexi. Her meaning couldn’t be any clearer.
“That’s right, that’s exactly it! It looks like you so much~ Oh, Lingmeng, why didn’t I know about your ‘discerning eye’ before?” Xue Molin laughed wildly and patted Li Lingmeng on the shoulder. Even Lin Yunxi, who was sitting next to them, had to cover her mouth to hide her smile from Wen Jiexi.
Wen Jiexi: ???? Are you guys asking for a fight?! Hmph, why do you always bully me!!!! QAQ
The next few days were carefree and easy, as other than a few filming mistakes, the shooting went away. Two days later, Wang Anyi had also returned. Of course, Xue Molin was the happiest person among their group when she learned her girlfriend returned and refused to let go of Wang Anyi once she had returned. She clung onto Wang Anyi, repeatedly questioning Wang Anyi why she was gone for so long.
In the end, Wang Anyi was worn down by her questioning and said helplessly, “It’s because Little Su put me in charge of her personal phone.”
Eh? What does that mean? Xue Molin’s eyes widened innocently and blinked her eyes to signal her confusion.
“These past few days a lot of people have been calling me….isn’t it all because of you?” Wang Anyi rolled her eyes at Xue Molin and pushed the clinging woman’s head away from her face.
“Little Yiyi, what are you talking about~ I don’t understand~” Xue Molin still looked confused as she pitfully tightened her arms around Wang Anyi who was trying to get out of her embrace.
“Wasn’t it because of that photo you sent around? A lot of people came calling to ask what was going on and I had to think hard to give them a proper answer.” Since she couldn’t get away, Wang Anyi started angrily squeezing Xue Molin’s cheeks instead. Just thinking about the numerous calls she had to pick up and answer made her headache. There were even some who called back repeatedly. However, each and everyone of the callers were people she couldn’t offend so she could only sloly reply one by one and then apologizing to them that Su Chenyu can’t come to the phone now. Su Chenyu wasn’t by her side, so she could do nothing.
Unfortunately, there are still a few annoying people who won’t give up and would call at least a few times a day. It was as if they thought that Little Su would pick up as long as they kept calling. To those people, Wang Anyi could only say, “hah” and then tell them that Little Su is unavailable. Just how many times did she have to say this before they got it? Why were they still calling her even in the middle of the night? Just what did she do to these people? Why won’t they let her sleep!!!
After much reflection and thinking, she realized that all her troubles were caused by Xue Molin. She couldn’t even eat peacefully because of this idiot! She was always afraid that someone would call her while she was eating and then cause her to choke or they’ll become offended since talking to someone with a mouthful of food is considered rude. She could only drink juice in between meals and sip some soup to cushion her empty stomach. Now she had the worse dark circles under her eyes and seeing that ‘innocent face’ made her even more furious.
Xue Molin then looked over at Su Chenyu in disbelief. She never expected that after helping Su Chenyu ‘spread the news’ she would be repaid with misfortune! Now her wifey has returned but was now looking at her with a face full of resentment! Does this little bastard have any conscience at all!!!!
“Hmph, tonight, you’re sleeping on the sofa!” Wang Anyi snorted coldly, finally prying Xue Molin’s hands off of her as she turned to leave.
“No, Little Yiyi, don’t leave! I didn’t mean for any of that to happen! Nooo!”
Wen Jiexi & Lin Yunxi & Li Lingmeng & Su Chenyu: Oof, pay attention to your image, alright?
Wen Jiexi had finished filming her scene for today and was walking towards Lin Yunxi and Li Lingmeng who seemed to be engrossed in a deep conversation.
“Little Meng, Sister Lin, what are you two looking at?”
“We’ve been eating prepared meals for the past few days, and wanted to spice things up by going out and buying some small snacks and pastries. We searched online and found a good dessert shop. Do you want to go together?” Li Lingmeng shook her phone and said with a smile, then added, “Moreover, there are some good barbecue stalls nearby. We can grab some to go and then after we eat our fill at the small vendors, we can eat a filling meal at a big restaurant. Doesn’t that sound good~”
After listening to Li Lingmeng’s persuasive words, Wen Jiexi was practically drooling. She really wanted to go out and buy some snacks too. Compared to the prepared meals the staff provided, the fresh food from stalls and restaurants were definitely much taster. And so, the little glutton’s belly was hooked. Wen Jiexi licked her lips and then ran to go find Su Chenyu.
“Sister Su, I want to go out and buy some snacks.” Wen Jiexi whispered into Su Chenyu’s ears as Su Chenyu prepared for the next scene.
“Why do you want to go out and eat so suddenly? Couldn’t you get the restaurant in our hotel to prepare you something?” Su Chenyu asked curiously.
“Yeah, but I want to eat chocolate and lemon tarts and, well, buying my own snacks is different than having someone else make it for you~” Wen Jiexi grabbed Su Chenyu’s arm and pouted. Then she pointed at Xue Molin and Li Lingmeng not too far away.
“Sister Xue and Little Meng both said they wanted to buy some too. We’ve stayed here for more than a week now and no matter how delicious the food is, you get bored of it eventually. I want to buy some other food instead.”
“Alright….just be careful.” Su Chenyu nodded after thinking about it for a while.
“En! Then I’m leaving first! Sister Su, good luck! Wait for me in the room later so we can eat our snacks together!” Wen Jiexi smiled happily.
“Of course. I’ll make sure to go back as soon as I finish up here.” Su Chenyu said and patted Wen Jiexi’s head. The cheerful smile on Wen Jiexi’s face washed away all her fatigue from today’s filming.
Ding-a-ling~
Su Chenyu looked down at her phone to see a message came in from a subordinate.
「We have finished cutting off all of the Feng Family’s distribution channels and now the share price of the Feng Group has fallen by half. About 60% of their hidden forces have been dug up and uprooted. Half are willing to submit to us while the other half were split into smaller groups and forced to assimilate. We will still send some people to keep watch in case they try to do anything. As for illegal evidence, we have collected enough information to give to the police. Now the police have entered into the investigation and will clean up the Feng group’s underworld forces. The rest will be dealt by the triads led by Madam. At present, no big moves have been made by the other side. 」
It seems that the four major families are uniting much faster than expected, otherwise, wouldn’t the Feng family have fought back by now? Su Chenyu tapped her chin and then typed out a response.
Continue your surveillance. Report to me immediately if there are any changes. I want the Feng Family to be forced out as soon as possible.
「Understood.」
“Chenyu, we’re starting!” Director Peng yelled.
Su Chenyu put down her phone, handed her things to Wang Anyi and quickly made her way onto the set. She nodded at Director Peng to begin.
On the other side, Wen Jiexi was wearing a large hat and a mask over her face. Xue Molin had also put on some light makeup on her face so that she was completely unrecognizable now. However, with how tightly she was wrapped up, she was more eye-catching then without her disguise. In fact, she would probably be mistaken as a psycho or pervert later. Wen Jiexi felt it would be better if she found a really good makeup artist instead.
Under Xue Molin’s makeup techniques, Wen Jiexi’s beautiful face transformed into a pretty, but average face. With the mask on, she’ll look extremely ordinary and so she shouldn’t be recognized by anyone….right?
“Alright, with this, we shouldn’t have any problems.” Xue Molin said and clapped her hands together.
“Don’t we need disguises? Won’t people recognize us as well?” Li Lingmeng touched her face and said. After all, pictures of herself and Xue Molin have appeared on the internet as well. Although there were not many pictures of her, won’t there be some who would recognize her as Little Xi’s assistant and then throw suspicion onto themselves?
“We might be recognized, but we should be fine with just the mask. As for me, I know that I’m naturally stunning, so this makeup wouldn’t work on me anyways!” Xue Molin said arrogantly.
Li Lingmeng & Wen Jiexi: Oh, as long as you’re happy.
The three of them walked out of the dressing room and then made their way to the big streets. They crossed a few roads, the dessert shop wasn’t too far, only about 5 minutes away. This area is not as densely populated so there weren’t many pedestrians around. Although some people looked over at them, most of them only glanced at them for a second before looking away and those who stared only looked at Xue Molin. They would look at her in confusion for a few seconds but by the time they thought of something, the three of them would’ve already left.
“This is it. This is the dessert shop that has great reviews I was talking about earlier!” Li Lingmeng said while looking at her phone.
“Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go in already, come on.” Xue Molin urged and then walked in first.
Wen Jiexi and Li Lingmeng looked at each other. When they proposed to go out earlier, Xue Molin was still unwilling. Why did she suddenly rush in there like she had been pumped full of chicken blood?
Xue Molin: Whaaaa, my wifey likes cakes the most! I must take some home with me and then use this opportunity to earn some points with her! Maybe she’ll let me back onto the bed then, hehehe~
A bell chimed lightly as they pushed open the door. Inside, was a display of dozens of types of exquisite cakes, each equally pleasing to the eye. Just the aesthetics alone was worthy enough for this dessert shop to be called the best in the area.
“Hello, is there anything you’ll like me to help you with?” An employee walked over and said with a smile.
“We’ll look around first.” Li Lingmeng nodded to the employee.
“Very well. Since it seems this is your first time visiting, I’ll quickly give you a rundown of your system here. Here you will see that we have a number that corresponds to each dessert. Once you decide what you want, just put a checkmark next to a number on this piece of paper and we’ll pack it up into boxes for you.” It seems that the employees have long become accustomed to new visitors and immediately took out a piece of paper and a pen after speaking.
“Thanks.”
“I’ll leave you it.”
Wen Jiexi looked at the piece of paper that was actually a small list with at least 30 cakes, egg tarts, puddings, etc. with their prices listed next to each other. Each line also listed the quantity for each dessert and overall the instructions were simple and easy to understand.
Wen Jiexi roamed around the small shop. There were so many types of desserts. Which one should she eat? Should she just buy one of everything?
Seeing that Li Lingmeng and Xue Molin had already begun to fill out their lists, Wen Jiexi scratched her head and then finally decided to just buy two of everything. When she handed it back to the employee, they froze for a second and looked at her with shock and surprise. They did not expect such a large order all of a sudden.
“Hehe, sorry to trouble you.” Wen Jiexi touched her head and smiled dryly. Such a big order might cause a little trouble to this little shop.
“N-no, it’s not a problem at all. Wait here, your order will be ready soon.” The employee shook their head and said,
“Thank you.” Wen Jiexi nodded and stood to the side.
“Huh? Little Xi, you’ve made your choice already? Ah, it’s so hard to decide. Should I get the lemon cheesecake or the chocolate pudding~ Help me choose~” Li Lingmeng looked at Wen in surprise. She had thought that the other party would take a long time to decide but unexpectedly was the first to finish.
“Lemon cheesecake.” Wen Jiexi thought for a while, and then replied sheepishly, “I actually ordered two portions of everything.”
“Huh? Ah, no wonder-” Li Lingmeng was busy writing down her decision and didn’t realize what Wen Jiexi said till a few seconds later. She whipped her head up and looked at Wen Jiexi in surprise, “All of them! Two portions?”
“Yeah.” Wen Jiexi scratched her nose and smiled dryly.
“Amazing.” Li Lingmeng patted Wen Jiexi on the shoulder and said with a thumbs up.
Twenty minutes later, the desserts Li Lingmeng and Xue Molin chose barely filled into one box each. As for Wen Jiexi…..she was holding eight boxes. The difference between the one box to the eight boxes was like comparing the size of Europe to Africa. The overwhelming number was simply….astonishing.
“As expected of you.” Xue Molin praised.
Wen Jiexi: Are you complimenting me or mocking me? QAQ
The three of them walked out of the dessert shop under the bewildered eyes of the employee and went to their next stop, a barbecue stall. Li Lingmeng followed the route on her phone screen and led the way. And although Wen Jiexi carried eight boxes (the shop’s clerk helped stack them into her arms), she didn’t feel tired at all. The two people beside her felt that it was unfair and even wanted to stack their own boxes on top of it.
“Cross the street here.” Li Lingmeng pointed at a small crowd of people lining up in front of a stall not too far away.
“The traffic over there is way too different compared to the stores beside us. The stores on this side of the street must hate that barbecue shop.” Xue Molin joked.
It was exactly as Xue Molin said, the street across from them was much more lively than their side.
“These stores must be heartbroken from it all.” Wen Jiexi teased.
At this moment, a black, nondescript van slowly inched its way over. The three of them didn’t notice it, as they continued to laugh and talk as usual. Then the van stopped in front of them and the van’s door opened. Suddenly a man with a black face mask covering his face reached an arm out towards Wen Jiexi.
