Ch.95-We should not put off facing the enemy?!

Looking at Wen Jiexi’s pouting and aggrieved expression, Su Chenyu patted her head helplessly, 

“I never said you did anything wrong. So what are you so nervous about?” 

Eh? She had thought Su Chenyu would scold her about taking unnecessary risks again. She never expected such a gentle response instead! Wen Jiexi blinked as if she couldn’t believe what was happening. 

“They were targeting you, so of course you had to resist. If you had been taken away, then I would’ve been angry.” Su Chenyu said helplessly, and then lightly grazed the already closed wound on Wen Jiexi’s cheek with an aching heart, “Besides this scratch on your cheek, are there any other injuries?”

“Yeah….here….” Wen Jiexi raised her right hand. There was a lot of blood on it, which looked terrifying, but in reality, it only looked terrifying because it was all red and swollen. 

“Come, sit down and I will disinfect it for you and apply some medicine on it as well.” Su Chenyu walked over to the sofa and patted the seat next to her.

“Don’t I need to take a shower first?” Wen Jiexi looked down at her body that was still covered in dust and blood. Shouldn’t she take a shower first to wash off all this blood before applying any medicine? It’s not like her injuries were that serious anyway. 

“You can’t let your wounds touch any water. Be good and sit down.” Su Chenyu felt a little helpless towards this naive little girl. She knew about Wen Jiexi’s past and how sheltered she was by her family. It seems that the little sheep has never seriously gotten hurt before. 

“Hisss….” The disinfectant created a tingling sensation when applied to her wound and it made Wen Jiexi gasp a little. Hey, what are you doing….that hurts! QAQ 

“If the wound is not treated properly, it can lead to an infection. Then if it’s serious, it may even cause permanent scars or require amputation.” Su Chenyu had noticed the distress on Wen Jiexi’s face and lightly said a few serious words to keep her still. 

Wen Jiexi: This…is it that serious? Wow, that’s frightening…..I better just obediently stay still then. 

Twenty minutes later, Su Chenyu finished applying for the medicine. 

“All done.” 

“Phew….finally~” Wen Jiexi breathed a sigh of relief, it really was hard to sit still for so long. 

“If you’re hungry, I’ll call someone to bring some dinner up.” Su Chenyu pinched Wen Jiexi’s injured cheek gently. 

“En.” Wen Jiexi nodded, then her face changed when she thought of something and she laid despondent on the sofa with a sullen face. 

“What’s the matter?” Su Chenyu picked up the phone and raised an eyebrow. 

“My desserts, they were all ruined. Wuwuwu…..it cost me a lot of money too….yet they were all destroyed….” Wen Jiexi said with a sorrowful face. The desserts that were thrown to the ground could’ve been salvaged but she just had to kick the boxes and cause the cakes inside to become a mess of cream and flour. Without even opening it she knew that her desserts were ruined! Wuwuwu, my cakes!

Instead of worrying about getting kidnapped, instead, she’s worried about her ruined cakes…..Su Chenyu felt a little helpless in front of a certain glutton. 

“Don’t worry, if you want to eat a cake, I will ask someone to make it and they can make dozens of different flavors too.” Su Chenyu comforted Wen Jiexi and patted her head gently. 

“I want tarts and pudding too!” Wen Jiexi added excitedly as her eyes lit up. 

“Ok, ok, anything you want. I will tell them to make five different flavors for each one and two portions as well. Then will you be satisfied?” 

“En!” 

What a little ancestor*……Seeing that the little sheep finally smiled again, Su Chenyu sighed in her heart and finished her call. (*T/N: little ancestor = brat, high maintenance little kid/young person) 

“Little Xi, can you tell me what happened earlier?” 

“Of course!” Wen Jiexi nodded and began to recall seriously, “They first approached us in an ordinary black van, ah, Sister Xue took pictures of it so you can look at them later, and then they stopped in front of us and opened the door. Two masked men appeared from behind the door and I think they wanted to pull me into the van but with the help of Sister Xue and Little Meng, I was able to escape danger.” 

“Did you notice anything strange? And were there any witnesses?” Su Chenyu raised an eyebrow. 

“Strange, huh…..oh, there was! At the time, we were right in front of a famous barbecue place and there were a lot of people around us, but when we were right across the street, there was no one on our side and no cars either. We just thought this was because the barbecue shop’s business was just too good, but now that I think of it, I think it was on purpose.” Wen Jiexi said while scratching her head. 

“Really?” Su Chenyu frowned slightly. It seems that even with all their businesses suppressed, the Feng family still had the means to work their schemes. Money will make the Devil turn millstones*, so it seems she should’ve bankrupted the Feng family sooner. “Oh, and the two men who attacked us were really strange too. One of the men used two knives and he was really powerful. I can tell that he didn’t use his full strength and he was….very ruthless…” Wen Jiexi said slowly. 

“How ruthless?” 

“Um….when I grabbed his partner’s leg, he tried to stab me so I used the leg to block his attack. Unexpectedly, he did not pull back his strength and stabbed his companion without hesitation. Not only did he do that, he even threatened to break his partner’s leg to release him from my grip. And when I looked into his eyes, they were smiling, and full of excited bloodthirstiness. From that, I could tell that he was enjoying the entire thing. Afterward, he seemed to gain an interest in me….in summary, he is a very…ruthless and bloodthirsty psycho.” 

“I see. It seems that besides Feng Xiaoliang, this man needs to be monitored as well.” Su Chenyu lightly tapped two fingers on the table. An abnormal, bloodthirsty psychopath….and a very skilled psychopath as well. One that has become interested in Little Xi. This will be hard to handle. She must catch this person before he touches Little Xi. From what Little Xi said, this person is also a double-edged sword for the Feng family, but as long as he poses a threat to Little Xi, he can not be left alive. 

Su Chenyu quickly typed out a message and sent it to her people, asking them to find out this man’s identity as soon as possible. At this moment, Wen Jiexi’s phone rang. 

“Hello? Brother? What’s the matter?” As soon as Wen Jiexi finished, a worried and frantic voice sounded from the other end. 

“Little Xi, I heard you were almost kidnapped! Are you hurt, are there any injuries, are you okay?!! Your big brother will come to visit you now!” 

“Uh…Brother, clam down, I am just a little bruised, but you don’t need to come to see me. I’m fine and Sister Su has already helped me patch it up.” Wen Jiexi tried to calm down the frantic Wen Linshu. 

“Sister Su? Pei! Why didn’t that idiot Su Chenyu take good care of you? She actually allowed you to get hurt! Don’t worry, Little Xi, your big brother will definitely seek justice for you!” Wen Linshu said quickly. He thought to himself, if he had been taking care of Wen Jiexi, then nothing would’ve happened to her! It was because of Su Chenyu that Wen Jiexi entered the entertainment circle in the first place! Ever since Wen Jiexi entered the industry, he hasn’t had even two days of rest without some problem arising. Now his darling little sister was actually injured?! He can’t stand by and watch any longer!

“This…brother, I was the one who wanted to go out and buy desserts. It wasn’t Sister Su’s fault. The food in that dessert shop just looked so delicious, unfortunately, they were all ruined. I had wanted to eat them with Sister Su but then those two men caught me by surprise. Couldn’t they have waited for me to put down the boxes first before attacking me! Or at least given me compensation to buy some desserts and replace the ones that were ruined! But then they just ran away! How cruel of them!” Wen Jiexi started complaining to her brother. 

Wen Linshu who was suddenly stuffed with a pile of dog food: Little sister, did you hurt your brain? Why are you saying such strange words? Your brother can’t understand what’s going on. 

“Ahem, Little Xi, can you give the phone to Su Chenyu?” Wen Linshu, who didn’t want to eat dog food anymore, decided to switch to another target.

“Oh, of course.” Wen Jiexi nodded and held out her phone towards Su Chenyu, “Sister Su, brother wants to talk to you.” 

Su Chenyu picked up the phone and then motioned for Wen Jiexi to go watch TV as she walked out onto the balcony. 

“Hello.”

“Su Chenyu, I put Little Xi….no, our family put Little Xi into your hands to take care of her, but just look at what you did! I knew you weren’t suitable for Little Xi from the beginning, you-” 

“I’m sorry, I was wrong.” 

Wen Linshu clearly didn’t treat Su Chenyu as nicely as he did with his spoiled and good-natured little sister. Towards Su Chenyu, this big bad wolf who abducted his sister, Wen Linshu did not hold back his words. However, he never expected the other party to admit to their mistakes so straightforwardly. The words he had wanted to say became stuck in his throat and he couldn’t let them out. 

“The Feng family most likely wanted to take her hostage and force us to stop our attacks and….Feng Xiaoliang most likely has some bad intentions towards Little Xi.” Su Chenyu said lightly and in just one sentence, transferred Wen Linshu’s anger to another target. She was telling the truth anyway, so she did not feel a guilty conscience at all. 

Wen Linshu slammed the table, causing Long Huiguang to jump up in surprise, and said, “What did you say?! Feng Xiaoliang, that dog-like man, actually covers after our Little Xi?!! Wait, isn’t he supposed to be chasing you?” 

Since they were cooperating together to take down the Feng family, some data will naturally be shared between allies. Among the data, Feng Xiaoliang’s preferences and actions are listed in extreme detail. When he had glanced at it earlier he couldn’t help but say, ‘Goddamn, he’s such a piece of sh*t!’. Not only is this man a dog-like beast involved in many shady businesses, Feng Xiaoliang liked to fool around with many women on the outside. Now he’s setting his sights on Little Xi? Wen Linshu felt mortified. This beast actually dares to covet after their family’s darling little girl? Don’t make me laugh! 

“Moreover, we’ve noticed that he’s kidnapped a lot of women who….well, previously they were women who looked like me, but recent news has leaked that his tastes seemed to have…changed…..” Su Chenyu did not need to finish her words as both sides understood exactly just how his tastes had changed. 

“Fu*k, that’s disgusting!” Wen Linshu started cursing in his anger. If his Little Xi was kidnapped, Feng Xiaoliang would probably do more than hold her hostage. He’s seen the data, he knows that Feng Xiaoliang has permanently scarred countless women before, destroying their lives and he would probably do the same to his little sister. 

“I agree with you. I believe it is time to step up our game. I do not know why Feng Xiaoliang made a move now and I don’t know if he’ll do something else later, but by the end of this month, the Feng family will disappear from upper society.” Su Chenyu’s tone was low and determined, leaving no doubts about what she will do and Wen Linshu naturally also believed in her. 

After a moment of silence, he said only one sentence: “Good, I hope you can accomplish what you say.” 

“Of course. In order to be together with Little Xi forever, I must remove all obstacles, right? Big. Brother~” Su emphasized the last two words, in particular, making Wen Linshu gasp and then inhale deeply. However, the other side seemed to know what Wen Linshu wanted to say next and abruptly hung up the phone. 

Hearing the beeping sound coming from his phone, Wen Linshu roared: “Damn woman, I won’t give Little Xi to you!” 

Su Chenyu opened the door and was greeted with a wave of delicious smells. It seems the food has arrived. 

“Sister Su, you’re done talking with my brother? What were you two talking about, you guys talked for so long.” Wen Jiexi asked as she clutched her groaning belly, and turned her head to look at Su Chenyu. 

“Your brother is worried about you, so he couldn’t help but ask a few questions.” Su Chenyu pushed all the blame onto Wen Linshu without hesitation. 

“Ai….my brother is just a little too fussy. I already told him I was fine, why does he insist on treating me like a glass doll?” Wen Jiexi sighed helplessly. 

Wen Linshu: But weren’t you as fragile as a glass doll before? Why can’t your brother worry about you? Little Xi, you’ve changed! Ever since you’ve got a girlfriend, you don’t want your big brother anymore! QAQ 

“Yup, so in the future, if you have any problems, you should tell me. You shouldn’t tell your big brother.” Su Chenyu said in a sly voice. 

“Huh? Is that okay?” Wen Jiexi blinked and asked hesitantly. 

“Of course, you see, your big brother is already so tired from all the work he has to do as the President, so if he has to take care of you as well, that would just be too much pressure on him. He might fall ill from all the stress.” Su Chenyu nodded seriously.

“Ai….I understand. Then if I have any problems in the future, I will come to Sister Su first!” 

Wen Linshu: You shameless wolf! Do you actually dare to come between us siblings?! Do you want a fight? Come at me! 

“Look Sister Su, the restaurant downstairs sent two whole roasted chickens! They smell so good, but I was waiting for you so we could eat them together.” Wen Jiexi quickly put the matter to the back of her mind and lifted the two aluminum foil sheets in front of her to reveal the two roasted chickens beneath. 

“Don’t just eat meat, you need to eat some vegetables as well.”

The two then began to enjoy their meal, as if the previous events never happened. 

Meanwhile, on the other side, 

“Failed?! You actually failed?! You failed and you still have the gall to come back?! Even if you had to break a leg, you should’ve at least brought back the target!” Feng Xiaoliang yelled at the man who was bandaging his calves and leaning on crutches.

The man’s face was slightly green. He never expected to be cursed like a dog when he returned. A woman who is no more than a plaything is actually more important than his leg? He is a master fighter among the Feng family’s hidden forces and has been loyal to the Feng family for decades. This is the first time he has failed and yet he received such cruel words. How can he not feel bitterly disappointed at the unfairness of it all? 

It seems the loyalty he has shown for the past few decades have been kicked to the side by a dog-like master. However, even if feels resentment, he cannot show it. Even though he has worked for the Feng Family for many years, he knows quite clearly about the Feng family’s cruel disciplinary methods. He cannot fight against a behemoth like the Feng family and could only lower his head and endure this scolding. 

“I’m very sorry, Young Master.” 

“You’re sorry? What is the use of your apology? We risked this mission with the intention to give the others a warning about what happens to those who oppose us. But now? Now we’ve failed! Not only did we once again trigger the anger of the other major families, but they’ll also be on guard for our next move! Most of the people he brought over to his side were old veterans who have more than ten years of experience living in the Feng family. His style of persuasion may seem great on the surface, but in fact, there are many who feel discontent with him and disagree with him. And there are others who may seem loyal on the surface, but one doesn’t know who the true master behind them is. 

This young master of the Feng family has been blinded by the power in front of him. Perhaps some are truly loyal to him, but unfortunately, the majority have their own hidden agendas inside their hearts. 

“What about Crazy Monkey? Didn’t he go with you? With that guy’s skill, how could you fail?” Feng Xiaoliang seemed to remember something and asked the man sharply. 

The man kept his head lowered and looked at the wound on his leg, a trace of hatred flashing in his eyes, but he still respectfully replied, 

“The man only went with us for fun, he said he didn’t care if the mission was a success or not. However, he did meet that girl Wen Jiexi and said that she is very interesting. He said if the next mission involves her, he will come with us. After all, he always had an obsession with ‘playing’ with interesting things.” 

“That….useless….” Feng Xiaoliang almost blurted out another round of cursing but held himself back. Crazy Monkey, a nickname he used for one of his father’s best henchmen, is renowned for his combat prowess. Feng Xiaoliang understood this and had personally gone to beg that lunatic for help. With a personality like that, so full of hatred and ruthlessness, he was perfect for completing even the hardest of tasks. 

And that crazy monkey’s room is….very special. When Feng Xiaoling went to find him, the lunatic didn’t even blink an eye before letting Feng Xiaoling in. And Feng Xiaoliang regretted entering immediately after he stepped inside. 

It turned out that the room was actually a huge ice storage room. There were many oddly-shaped…human bodies hanging from the hooks on the walls. Some were cut open, some were amputated, and some were a little bit in between. There was a big wooden table in the middle with a human body in the middle, the person’s eyes rolled back and their body tied down with ropes. It was obvious that the human, the man on the table, was still alive. Yet, his stomach was cut open and many internal organs had been taken out. There were no painkillers or anesthesia nearby so one could tell that the lunatic was doing a raw/live dissection on a human.

“Aiya, isn’t this the Young Master? How come you’ve come to visit little old me?” At the same time, the man twisted the knife in his hands, his face lit up with pleasure from what he was doing. He didn’t seem to even care that another person was in the room as he licked the bloody knife and hummed in satisfaction, right in front of Feng Xiaoliang’s eyes. 

When he came out of that room, Feng Xiaoliang vomited on the spot and he didn’t eat meat for several days. In any case, Feng Xiaoliang didn’t dare to offend that deranged psychopath, because he was afraid that he would become one of the lunatic’s tortured experiments.

“That..since you’ve failed, there is nothing we can do.” Feng Xiaoliang waved his hand impatiently. At that moment a phone call came through and Feng Xiaoliang sneered when he saw the name on his screen. 

“Tsk, I guess this kind of news spreads the fastest. Is he that eager to ask questions?” 

Meanwhile, below the mansion, a man called ‘Crazy Monkey’ by Feng Xiaoling looked at a van with a happy expression. If Wen Jiexi was here, she would recognize the van as that seemingly ordinary car that had almost kidnapped her. 

“Interesting….very interesting!” Crazy Monkey touched the van with an infatuated expression. 

There was a big depression in the center, in the shape of a fist and one could tell just how strong the person is from the indent. He licked his lips in excitement. 

“ I need to study her carefully to see where this great power comes from! I must have her! Hahahaha!”
