Zhou Yu, who had witnessed Su Wen’s fit of madness, couldn’t do anything but helplessly leave the office. 

It reminded her of an old saying, “Don’t try guessing the boss’s mind, you couldn’t guess it even if you wanted to” 

Her boss threw the flowers in the trash and then picked it up again. Could it be that Su Wen had a unique hobby of picking things up from trash cans? 

Zhou Yu prides herself on her high IQ, so since she couldn’t imagine any other possible reason this was the reason she settled with. 

Zhou Yu looked at the address Su Wen had given her. The address was for a recently renovated barbecue buffet restaurant. After triple checking the restaurant’s name, she arrived at the place and walked in. After taking a look around, she found Shu Yian next to the window, eating with gusto, a large mountain of food. 

“Miss Shu?” 

Zhou Yu couldn’t believe her eyes. 

She thought that all rich people would eat high-end and expensive cuisine. She never would have thought that she’d find Miss Shu in such a down-to-earth place. Although, for someone like her, this restaurant was considered a pretty good place seeing as the average cost for a meal here was around 1000 yuan. (T/N: 1000 yuan = abt. 150 U.S dollars) 

However, this was still not a place that suits Miss Shu’s identity….

“Have you eaten yet? Do you want to eat together?” Shu Yian peeled a shrimp with both hands and motioned for Zhou Yu to sit down. 

In fact, Zhou Yu’s thinking was exactly what Shu Yian had thought before too. Since Su Wen was paying for it, Shu Yian had initially planned to get a big meal at a five-star hotel and order the most expensive dishes and make that woman bleed with regret.

However, after some consideration, she finally decided to eat at an expensive buffet. A buffet has more range so she’ll be able to eat anything she wants without worrying about wasting food since she can eat as little or as much as she wants. 

Her only regret in choosing the buffet was that she was sparing Su Wen’s wallet. 

Zhou Yu said she wasn’t hungry and then sat quietly next to her and watched her eat. 

However, every time Shu Yian ate a bite she could hear Zhou Yu say something in her heart:

【She really can eat.】

【Nooooo, Miss Shu just ate an oyster! That’s not good for your stomach and you can easily get diarrhea from that!】

【Oh my lord, she just dipped that piece of meat in a lot of chili oil. Too much chili will cause you to break out!】

【If you eat too much of that cake, you’ll gain weight!】

【Ahhh, I don’t think that the watermelon she ate just now was fresh. If she eats so many random things all at once, won’t she get a stomachache?  】

Shu Yian was feeling rather amused by her. Can this girl ever think of anything good? She looked at Zhou Yu’s meek and gentle face, and suddenly felt the urge to tease her.

“Little Zhou Zhou~ If you have nothing else to do, please get me two spicy rabbit heads. Remember to pick out the ones with the most chili oil on them.” 

Zhou Yu stiffened. 

【R-rabbit head?】

Shu Yian ate the last bite of the lobster, took off the gloves, and wiped the corners of her mouth with a napkin. She knew that Zhou Yu would think something along those lines. 

However, it’s strange. Although Zhou Yu had said the same lines a disgusting white lotus would say in a TV series, she found it quite cute when Zhou Yu said it. 

This was proof that it wasn’t the words that were disgusting, it depends on the person saying them.

Shu Yian got up and smiled at Zhou Yu: “I’m stuffed, let’s go!” 

“E-en, alright!” Zhou Yu realized that Shu Yian was joking with her just now and smiled slightly as she hurriedly got up to floor her: “I’ll take you to the best shopping places.” 

“No, let’s go to a bookstore first.” There was a lot of time left in the afternoon and it shouldn’t take too long to choose some clothes. Shu Yian planned to look around a bit first. 

Furthermore, because of her mind-reading ability, it’s always so noisy wherever she goes into this busy city. So she wanted to go to a bookstore for some peace and quiet. 

“Ok.” Zhou Yu replied. 

There is a large shopping mall nearby, and there is a bookstore on the fourth floor of the mall, where people can buy books and read quietly. Zhou Yu had worked in this area before so she was quite familiar with the place. 

Shu Yian silently followed her. There were not many people in the bookstore and there were places specially for reading in the bookstore, it was much quieter than outside. 

The shelves were full of novels and Shu Yian picked up a copy of a book titled 《A Youth Chasing Dreams》. This novel was supposed to be full of short inspirational stories targeted towards young adults. She was to find a place to sit down and read it when she suddenly put the book back to its original place.

Let’s find a hard copy of a published web novel instead.

She was rather curious about what kind of web novels existed in this world that would allow a domineering president like Su Wen to turn into a sand sculpture. (T/N: Sand sculpture is slang for idiot)

However, she took a look around but Shu Yian couldn’t find a single romance novel, let alone a CEO romance novel. 

The books in this bookstore were either about philosophical space stuff like 《Three Dimensions》or inspirational books like the 《A Youth Chasing Dreams》one she just picked up or even a book titled 《Ashes》that had profound educational significance but made the reader feel depressed. 

There was also a collection of poetry books. 

Shu Yian turned her head to look incredulously at Zhou Yu, “Do they not publish romance novels here?”

“Romance novels?” Zhou Yu was even more puzzled than her, “What’s a romance novel?” 

Romance and novel were two separate words to Zhou Yu, so when put together, she was a little confused.

【Is it possible to write a novel based on romance?】

【What kind of novel is that?】

Shu Yian: “????” 

What the hell? 

From Zhou Yu’s tone, there seems to be no such things as romance novels in this world???? Then where did Su Wen get her distorted view of romance from? 

“If there are no romance novels, is there an online writing platform?” 

“Oh there is! Here’s one!” Zhou Yu said as she took out her mobile phone and logged on to a website. In her free time, she also likes to read novels, so she even downloaded an app for reading novels.

However, when Shu Yian looked at the novels on the website, it completely turned her understanding of this world upside down. They were the exact same as the novels that she saw in the bookstore. 

Are these people all demons or something? Who would pass the time reading these types of boring novels? Since the contents of these books are so righteous, then how come Su Wen and Zhou Yu always have such strange thoughts? 

This world having no romance novels is simply a mystery. 

Zhou Yu then asked Shu Yian seriously, “Miss Shu, is there anything wrong?” 

“No.” Shu Yian scrolled through Zhou Yu’s phone a little more. After scrolling through several pages, she really couldn’t find any books she wanted to read and then returned the phone to her. 

“If there was a dog-blood romance novel in front of you, would you be interested in reading it?” (T/N: dog-blood means something overly exaggerated, cliche, unbelievable, etc.)

Zhou Yu swallowed nervously. She didn’t understand the meaning of Shu Yian’s question, was Miss Shu trying to test her? 

So she said flatteringly while concealing her true thoughts, “Of course I wouldn’t read it. We must dedicate our lives to literature and knowledge. A dog-blood novel is simply a waste of time!” 

【I wanna read it, I really wanna read it! I have never read a dog-blood “romance novel” before, I wonder how much dog blood is in there? Is it more dog-blood than my job hunting?】

In this world, the words “dog blood” actually means when someone fails or succeeds in an over exaggerated manner, one that would make people laugh or cry at the outrageousness of it all. It was a little bit different from the definition of dog blood in Shu Yian’s mind. 

Shu Yian silently looked at Zhou Yu.

Hah, these people never say anything truthful. If she didn’t have this mind-reading ability, she might have missed this fantastic chance to make money. 

It is time for her to create a new literary genre in this world. Although this genre is more like the mud of the clear rivers of the literary world. The road to success is destined to be difficult, but every successful person first receives doubts and insults before becoming successful. 

She is willing to become the pioneer of romance novels in this world and bring a different type of reading experience to everyone. 

Indeed, she was speaking like romance novels were such a great thing when they really were not. 

Meanwhile, Zhou Yu looked at Shu Yian’s fiery eyes and couldn’t help but sigh softly.
