The Jealous CEO Treats Me Hypocritically Ch.8

Zhou Yu walked somewhat dejectedly to her own work desk. Before she met Shu Yian, her impression of the woman was formed from what other people told her. Therefore, she admits that, in the beginning, she may have had a biased opinion of the woman.

However, from what she saw just now, although Shu Yian’s actions and behavior couldn’t be considered gentle or warmhearted, she was actually quite a good person.

For example, Shu Yian knew that President Su did not like women who dressed up so…openly like she did today, yet Shu Yian had kindly reminded her to dress properly in the future….

So, just from this matter, her previous prejudices towards Shu Yian have all been erased. She now thought of Shu Yian as a good person and believed that everything she had learned about Shu Yian from before was all just baseless rumors.

And since Shu Yian’s bad personality was just a rumor, perhaps Shu Yian and the president’s rocky relationship was also just a rumor.

However, that second rumor seemed to have hit the nail on the head as she couldn’t see a single trace of love between the two.

Zhou Yu actually felt pity towards Shu Yian.

The woman seems to have true feelings for President Su, but the other party was just too stone-hearted to return those feelings…

In that case….Zhou Yu turned on her laptop, grabbed a document on her desk, and cracked her fingers as she prepared to work.

Her mother has taught her to always repay the kindness that others give to her. Therefore, if she has free time after she finishes her work, she will play cupid and help bring the two of them closer together.

Yet, less than a minute later, Zhou Yu realized just how naive she was.

The reason for this was naturally because the two big bosses in the office started arguing again.

Shu Yian usually chooses to ignore Su Wen instead of quarreling with her, especially over unimportant things. So even if Su Wen insulted her every day she can still grit her teeth and bear through it, but what she couldn’t stand was Su Wen trying to get in the way of her money-making plans.

In the face of Su Wen who stubbornly refused to give her work, Shu Yian’s heart burst into flames. She was so angry that she couldn’t wait to flip the bastard 180 degrees and break the other party’s back.

“When grandmother agreed to me working at the company, you did not refuse. This ‘showing one side in front of others and another behind their back’ is not a good thing, is it, President Su?” Her anger was still on the rise, but Shu Yian could not shed all pretense of cordiality with Su Wen just yet. She could only hope to use her words to reason with her instead.

And Su Wen was usually someone who could be swayed by reason but…

She raised her head and the corners of her mouth twitched as she twisted the pen in her hand, “You are correct, but…so what?”

【I just won’t arrange any work for you! And I won’t let you interfere with the Su family’s company! What can you do about it?】

Shu Yian was flustered and exasperated: “Even trees have skins, but why do you not have any face?”

This entire matter could be considered as Su Wen misunderstanding her again, which she could somewhat understand given this body’s past. However, that indifferent expression on Su Wen’s face infuriated Shu Yian to no end.

After repeated back and forths, Shu Yian decided to resort to her trump card. Although she didn’t want to be that kind of person who said bad things behind another person’s back, it seems that this was the only method she could use: “Are you not afraid that the next time I see a grandmother that I’ll tell her all about the despicable and shameless things you have done?”

When Su Wen heard those words, the smile on her face disappeared and her expression turned serious.

【I’ve been blinded by Shu Yian’s strange behavior these past few days. I completely forgot that she’s the type who likes to tattletale on others.】

【In that case……】

“Fine!” Su Wen finally breathed out this word and then threw out a condition that made Shu Yian’s heart jump.

“I can arrange some work for you to do. If you do it well, I’ll give you ten times the starting salary!”

When Shu Yian heard the first half of her sentence, she was full of joy but then when she heard the second half, her mind was dazed for a second before she put up her guard again as she looked at Su Wen vigilantly.

She did not believe that Su Wen would do something so kind without any ulterior motives.

Su Wen looked at the sofa beside her and then motioned, “Sit there!”

【Watch how I’ll make fun of this woman!】

Shu Yian crossed her arms over her chest.

Make fun of her? This Su Wen whose head is full of strange thoughts….she wouldn’t make her do something like that, right?

Although this is a fake relationship, she would never let Su Wen hug her, kiss her or do anything remotely like that!

Su Wen noticed her wary behavior and immediately gave her a look of disgust, “Don’t worry, someone like you with a flat chest is not my type.”

Shu Yian: “……”

What the hell? Flat chest?

She patted her chest with her hands. She can’t even cover one of them with one hand, so how could her chest be considered flat?

She looked Su Wen up and down. Her eyes locked on the other’s chest. Even if the other woman was wearing somewhat loose clothes, she could still tell that Su Wen was indeed in good shape and her chest was rather full. When compared with hers, the other’s chest was indeed a little bigger.

However, even after reaching this conclusion, Shu Yian replied back in an unconvincing tone, “It’s still bigger than yours! You’re not even as big as my flat chest!”

Su Wen sneered coldly, “You say like you’ve seen them before!”

“Then take off your clothes and show me! We can compare it on the spot!” Shu Yian’s mind was blinded with anger and she blurted some words out without thinking,

When the words had landed, she finally noticed something was wrong and the tips of her ears turned red as a light blush dotted across her face.

Naturally, these words also made Su Wen feel uncomfortable, uncomfortable enough for her to spit out a few complaints in her heart, 【Sure enough, she really is just an old pervert!】

Shu Yian turned her face to look out the window and focused her attention on the scenery outside the window.

There are two things that Shu Yian deems the most important.

First, is naturally money.

She has always dreamed of making a lot of money, saving up, and then achieving a sort of economic freedom where she can stay at home all day and be a salted fish. (T/N: salted fish= slang for someone who does nothing all day. A homebody who just lazes around and watches TV)

Second, is a good figure.

Everyone of her friends had good figures and were in excellent shape. Only her, with her original body, had a really flat figure which caused her friends to tease her all day.

Therefore, for a long time, she herself has hoped and wished for a good figure.

Finally, that dream has come true. Although from a certain angle, one would say that the body does not belong to her therefore she shouldn’t be proud of it, but at least for the time being, this is her body. Yet, before she can even feel proud, Su Wen attacked her most sore points. How could she swallow such an insult?

That’s why, she didn’t think it through when she subconsciously refuted Su Wen just now.

As a result of her thoughtlessness, the both of them have now entered an awkward state.

The atmosphere fell into weird silence for a while and even the air felt like it was frozen. And Shu Yian hasn’t heard a single word from Su Wen’s inner thoughts.

The person who’s usually full of complaints and insults actually doesn’t think about anything during this moment…..

Shu Yian was too embarrassed to see her reaction so she kept pretending she was looking at the scenery outside.

This building was located in the wealthiest part of the city. Surrounded by high-rise buildings and expensive shops, the streets below were full of life as people came and went.

When one is busy with work, they will naturally slowly adapt to the new city and feel a sense of belonging. So even if your home is far away, you won’t feel lonely.

Like your hometown, this place would become a safe and familiar harbor for you.

However, this did not apply to Shu Yian.

She was just too free and thus was left with nothing to do but think.

——In this world, she is alone and helpless.

——In this world, she is a stranger who shouldn’t exist.

She does not belong to this world, thus she can never integrate herself into this world, let alone embrace it with all her heart.

While she was thinking such depressing thoughts, Su Wen was staring intently at her.

Su Wen has had many admirers before, but because she was bad at expressing herself and always wore a cold face, most people did not even dare to confess to her. None have dared to chase her so aggressively either. Even Shu Yian, as her fake fiancee, doesn’t dare to cross a certain line.

The most annoying thing Shu Yian has ever done was buzz around her like a fly everyday.

However, the current Shu Yian was different. Not only did Shu Yian dare to stand up against her, she also said things like ‘take off your clothes and let’s compare’ without batting an eye.

Faced with such embarrassing words, even Su Wen was stunned for a while before she finally reacted.

She also wanted to say something to hurt Shu Yian a little, but….

Were her eyes playing tricks on her or….

Did she actually feel a sense of melancholy from Shu Yian just now?

That delicate back stood steadfast in front of the widow and although the sun was shining on her, the sun didn’t seem to shine in her heart. As if there was a dark cloud hanging above Shu Yian and that this entire time the woman has been pretending to smile and act like a naive idiot.

And, it was as if the Shu Yian in front of her would disappear….just like the sunlight that disappears at night.

She blinked again. Less than ten seconds later, she angrily threw her pen onto the desk.

What kind of joke is this? How did she suddenly get sucked into Shu Yian’s orbit?

It probably was just a trick of the light and Shu Yian just happened to be standing in a certain position.

Her brain must have short-circuited if she was thinking about such nonsensical things.

Although these thoughts reassured her heart a little bit, for her to think about Shu Yian as anything but annoying made Su Wen feel conflicted. Like there were a thousand strings in her heart that was suddenly entangled together.

She hated feeling like this and eagerly wished for this feeling to go away. But the more curious she was, the more the strings became entangled, bounding around her heart tighter and tighter even as she tried to untie the knots.

She realized that she wanted to know more about what kind of person Shu Yian is.

She thought she knew Shu Yian before her from what her grandmother and others had previously told her. Then the Shu Yian she met was an entirely different person, so she slowly got to know the real her, but now….the person in front of her has changed so much that she has become completely unpredictable.

Based on these three distinct personalities, it would not be an exaggeration to say that Shu Yian was actually three completely different people.

Su Wen shook her head. In order to stop herself from thinking about Shu Yian, Su Wen decided to divert her attention to other matters.

“Shu Yian!” She called out the other party’s name.

“What do you want?” Shu Yina returned to her senses. She was too focused on her own thoughts just now and so she didn’t hear Su Wen’s thoughts. However, she could tell that it must’ve not been good thoughts.

Su Wen lifted her chin arrogantly and turned her gaze to the sofa, “The work I have arranged for you is this; you must sit with your back straight on the sofa, don’t move and don’t make any trouble! Just sit there and be a vase!” (T/N: Vase is slang in China for someone who is pretty on the outside but has no substance on the inside.)

It was indeed an insulting job and Shu Yian instinctively wanted to refuse, but she thought about it and then opened her mouth, “Ten times the salary?”

“Ten times the salary!”

“Alright, boss, you got yourself a deal!”

Although it seems kind of shameful for her to act like this, she was not stupid. Just by sitting there she can earn ten times the salary! After weighing the pros and cons, why would she refuse free money?

And so, under Su Wen’s gaze, Shu Yian immediately sat down like an elementary student who was scolded by their teacher and told to sit there with their hands in their lap and their back straight.

Su Wen curled her lips and said nothing. Then she lowered her head to return to working on the documents before her. Occasionally, she would glance at Shu Yian from the corner of her eyes.

She alway felt incredibly happy and smug whenever she wins against Shu Yian.

For the first hour, Shu Yian was happy to do as she says. Whenever she thinks about earning ten times the starting salary, she smiles with delight. However, after an hour, she no longer felt like smiling.

One doesn’t have to be an elderly senior to feel back pain. After sitting there for an hour with her back straight and not even moving an inch, her body started to feel stiff all over.

So she bent her back a little bit and was about to move into a more comfortable positions when suddenly Su Wen spoke in a abrupt tone,

“Sit properly!”

Shu Yian: “….”

How was Su Wen able to see her? The woman has her head down and her eyes never moved from the documents in her hand. Did the woman have another eye she didn’t know about? How was she able to tell that she had bent her back from such a little movement?

Shu Yian had no choice but to straighten her back, but after a while, because she felt really uncomfortable, she started making little movements to quietly adjust herself into a more comfortable position.

Meanwhile, Su Wen was watching her every movement, even with her head lowered. A smile appeared on her face without her noticing but then she quickly schooled her face back into a cold expression, “What is it? Can you not do your job?”

“Of course not!” Shu Yian pursed her lips, smiling stiffly, “Just, can I go to the bathroom? I promise I’ll come back right away!”

No matter what type of job it is, no employee dares to do their work poorly and go against their boss. Shu Yian was no exception. If her job was to sit still and look pretty, then she will do her job well no matter what.

Therefore, when it comes to work, even if she understood that Su Wen was deliberately provoking her, she will not show a bad attitude and let Su Wen find a fault with her.

“During working hours, you only get one break.” Su Wen knew that Shu Yian really just wanted to go out and move her body a bit. So she decided to make things easier for her and give her one choice. As for when Shu Yian wants to take this chance, it’s all up to Shu Yian.

Shu Yian hesitated for a few seconds. In the afternoon, the hours will be much longer so should she save it for later? Yet….when she thought about how Su Wen flips through moods faster than flipping through a book, she was afraid that this opportunity would be wasted when the woman takes back her words later.

So she chose to walk out of the office. Su Wen did not say anything and since there were no other employees on this floor besides her and Zhou Yu, it was relatively quiet.

The bathroom was empty and Shu Yian took the opportunity to stretch her arms and legs. After about five minutes, she was ready to return to work.

However, at this moment, an unexpected guest appeared.

Shu Yian looked into the mirror to see a woman behind her. The woman had a head of wavy brown hair that paired nicely with her bright red lips. She wore a red dress that hugged her body, and a pair of high heels on her feet. The woman was looking at her with a condescending expression on her face. Then the stranger spoke with a smile on her face but her tone was full of ridicule,

“Oh! Isn’t this my dear defeated opponent? I heard that you’ve lost your mind and even abandoned your pride ever since you lost to me half a year ago?”
