The Transmigration Missions Are Not Scientific Ch.81

Chapter 81- ABO Interstellar (11)

“If I win, you must kowtow to me three times and then every time you see me you have to call me your father!” Xue Yong was filled with hatred at the show of intimacy between Mu Qingli and Gu Anran. He immediately called out his mecha and yelled out his terms to Mu Qingli.

As Xue Yong’s words rang out, not only Mu Qingli, but almost everyone around him also frowned.

Kowtowing was an outdated practice that nobody does nowadays. After all, that sort of old practice was only used for the emperor of ancient times, about a few thousand years ago! In modern times, the most one does is a half-bow or a military salute when they greet the emperor.

By forcing someone to kowtow to him, he is saying that he thinks he is more noble than even the emperor, that he is above the emperor! Even if Xue Yong had said it in a fit of anger, his future prospects have been greatly reduced by this one sentence! So what if he has a powerful grandfather? His words had offended the crown prince, the crown princess and even the most treasured princess! Now how my future career would most definitely not go anywhere.

“If I win, please stay at least a hundred meters at all times from me in the future.” Mu Qingli looked at Xue Yong with a blank expression while glaring at him with sharp and cold eyes.

“Y-you dare try to negotiate the terms with me? Ha! Good, very good!” Xue Yong said sarcastically. He was quite scared by Mu Qingli’s cold eyes, but then remembering his face as a senior and his grandpa’s status in the empire, he never thought that the other party would dare name their conditions with him!

To put it simply…..a brainless person will always act brainlessly. Even if he wins, the royal family will still have the ability to make him disappear out of thin air. Gu Anran looked to the side and looked at her sister, Gu Anxin, who was sneering coldly with her arms crossed and her brother, Gu Anlun, who was still smiling stupidly like usual. From their expressions, she was quite sure they had similar thoughts in their heart.

Both sides took out their mechas and the broadcast sounded out,

“The first challenge has officially begun!”

Shuaa…….

Mu Qingli waved her two blades and then quickly rushed towards Xue YOng.

Xue Yong was worthy of calling himself a senior as having one more year experience than the other party, he quickly reacted by raising his gun. His gun was more of a cannon as it was about the size of a person’s head and when he shot out a laser it made a large ‘boom!’ sound.

Mu Qingli didn’t know how powerful the laser cannon was, so she did not clash with him head on and instead chose to dodge the shot just now.

Bang!

Looking at the smoking pit that was about half a meter wide, Gu Anran felt that Mu Qingli’s decision to avoid the laser was the right one! Compared to the laser guns used by the robot earlier, Xue Yong’s was much more powerful!

“Hahahaha, this is the laser cannon that I have specially ordered! It’s output is quite powerful! It can easily shoot through a first-level mecha, so your flimsy paper-like sword is useless against it! Now you’re regretting going against me! I’ll wait for you to kowtow to me!: Xue Yong’s arrogant and proud laugh sounded from inside the mecha.

He can even modify his mecha…..is this allowed? Isn’t this against the rules? Gu Anran frowned.

“It’s not against the rules. The Technical Department tailors weapons for mecha students based on their instructions. As long as they can control the mecha and its weapons, then they can use any type of dangerous weapon they want to. The academy is more than happy to strengthen their students, why would they stop them?” Gu Anxin saw that Gu Anran didn’t understand and explained patiently.

“Sister, is that Xue Yong very strong?” Gu Anran asked.

“This…I do not know. He is quite famous in the academy, but since I’ve never fought against him, I’m not too sure. At the very least, in this academy, he is considered in the upper-middle ranks!” Gu Anxin answered.

“He is one of the top 50 students in my grade.” Gu Anlun’s voice interrupted abruptly.

“That strong?” Gu Anran’s eyes widened and she started looking at Mu Qingli with eyes full of worry.

“Don’t worry, even if he is in the top 50, he’s too arrogant for his own good. I believe that Mu Qingli can match him easily.” Gu Anlun patted his little sister’s head to comfort her.

“But don’t the students in the top 50 get to use second-level mechas?”

“How can they let a first-level mecha and the second-level mecha compete against each other! Just from the specs alone, the performance would be too skewed! Don’t worry, Xue Yong is using a first-level mecha and since he is too used to driving a second-level mecha, his control is not as refined as when he drives a second-level mecha.” Gu Anlun smiled.

From her studies, Gu Anran understood that the number of parts used in a mecha also equaled the number of buttons within the mecha. To control a first-level mecha, a pilot must be able to use 64 different buttons almost simultaneously and a second-level mecha pilot would need to be able to use 128 buttons. The difference was twice as much! Since there are so many buttons involved, the movements of the second-level mecha becomes more flexible and dexterous and its attacking power is far greater. It was incomparable to the first-level mecha. If one switched form a powerful mecha then suddenly to this weak mecha, what will the effect be?

Dust clouds rose up in the place of battle and Xue Yong was fixed to the ground like a turret. His waist could be rotated 360 degrees so he didn’t even need to move at all as he shots. All he had to do was hold his laser cannon and shoot at the quickly moving Mu QIngli.

“Hahahaha, what SSS-rank Alpha! Simply just a vile spawn who only knows how to hide! If you have the ability, then receive one of my shots! Trash!” Xue Yong yelled as the laser cannon in his hand continued to spray faster and faster. At this point, he was not even aiming anymore, but perhaps because of his experience, his seemingly inaccurate shots always ended up very close to Mu Qingli’s head.

The battle turned into a stalemate….huh? No, that’s not right! Gu Anran narrowed her eyes. While Xue Yong was rooted in place and was probably not paying attention, many of the surrounding audience had noticed that Mu Qingli was slowly approaching Xue Yong’s center point.

This really made everyone click their tongues in admiration. One must know that the smaller the distance between the two mechas, the faster the reaction speed one has to have to avoid all those shots! This was not only testing one’s vision, but also a test of their hand/reflex speed! If it were back on earth, what would Mu Qingli be? A boxer, of course! She can quickly dodge the opponent’s attack, then KO the opponent with a single punch!

As if confirming Gu Anran’s thoughts, within seconds, Xue Yong found himself within the range of Mu Qingli’s sword attack. At this moment, Xue Yong also noticed something was wrong! He subconsciously wanted to get away from Mu Qingli, but he forgot that although his waist was rotated 360 degrees, his lower body was not!

As a result, the upper body and the lower body were facing the opposite ways, so while he tried to move backward, he actually moved forward! Shua! The laser sword flashed down and Xue Yong’s robot was cut in half! The upper body of his mecha fell to the ground heavily.

When the door opened, Xue Yong fell out in a sorry state. From head to toe, he was covered in bruises and was in quite the terrible shape.

“Thank you for letting me win.” Mu Qingli jumped out of her mecha and bowed politely to Xue Yong in a show of sportsmanship.

“You….you cheated!” Xue Yong wiped the dust off his face. He couldn’t believe that he actually lost, and jumped up and down as he pointed a finger at Mu Qingli and roared angrily.

How shameless! ….This was the common thought of all the upperclassmen present. As an upperclassman, not only did he lose, but he also pointed at others and claimed they cheated. Wasn’t this simply losing face for all the seniors present?

A few people directly approached Xue Yong and dragged him away. He was still cursing angrily as he was dragged off field and the people dragging him could only nod at Mu Qingli in embarrassment. After all, as upperclassmen, they couldn’t help but feel sorry for the other. Mu Qingli was bowing politely yet Xue Yong still acted like a madman. The contempt in their eyes could hardly be concealed, and they pulled him away from the track field.

“I won!” Mu Qingli walked to Gu Anran’s side and smiled.

“Mu Qingli walked to Gu Anran’s side and smiled.” Gu Anran took out a handkerchief from her pocket and moved to wipe Mu Qingli’s face.

Ding! The female lead’s favorability has increased by (10) and is now at (65).

“Thank you.” Mu Qingli lowered her head. Perhaps because the handkerchief was kept on Gu Anran’s body, for the cloth had the same sweet smell that made Mu Qingli intoxicated. She wanted that handkerchief!

After Gu Anran finished wiping the other’s face, she carefully folded the handkerchief and then placed it in her pocket. En! She was going to safely keep this prized possession!

Afterwards, perhaps because Mu Qingli defeated Xue Yong, there were a lot less challengers who came to fight her and only three others dared to challenge her. Of course, Mu Qingli was able to easily defeat them all.

The two of them arrived under the shade of a tree and watched some of the matches that were still unfolding.

They rubbed their stomachs, en….they was feeling somewhat hungry. They looked at the clock and it was already long past noon. Perhaps due to all the tension, they didn’t feel the hunger till now when they had relaxed. The hunger was starting to grow more and more profound.

“Anran, Qingli.” At this moment, Huang Linfan came over with the lunch box. Gu Anxin and Gu Anlun followed him and also carried a lunch box in their hands, but their portions were 5-6 times larger.

“I thought you all might be hungry so I went to the cafeteria to get some lunch.” As she spoke, Huang Linfan placed too many lunch boxes in front of Gu Anran and Mu Qingli.

Since this was an outdoor event, it was not suitable to use plates but the lunch boxes here were more than enough. Compared to the ones on earth, the lunch boxes here were three times larger than the ones on earth and could fit six different dishes and even portions of soup. The lunch boxes were packed oteh brim and were completely different from the ones on earth. The food was still hot and the delicious aroma was overwhelming, which could move anyone’s stomach.

The food was quickly annihilated and Gu nran ate nearly one-third more than usual. Then she exhaled happily and sipped her hot soup as she burped a little.

Expect for Gu Anran who was rubbing her full stomach, everyone else was still having lunch. Looking at the two dozen empty lunch boxes on the ground, Gu Anran still felt quite surprised by the appetite of the alphas. Who knows if there are enough lunchboxes for the four alphas…..

After a tiring day of fighting, the pairing event officially ended. Gu Anran and the others finally were able to let out a sigh of relief. There was nothing happier than being able to be paired with their favorite persons!
