The Transmigration Missions Are Not Scientific Ch.84

Chapter 84- ABO Interstellar (14)

All the students who were participating in the planetary excursion were gathered on the track. There were more people here this time than during the pairing event and that was because in addition to the students from the piloting and engineering departments, there were also students from the medical department.

The medical students were assigned one by one to each group, and the person who was assigned to Gu Anran’s group was….

“I am Lin Cai, a freshman in the medical department.” A beautiful but expressionless alpha stood in front of them.

There are mostly alphas and betas in the medical department, and very few omegas. However, those in the medical department have mental powers and ranks that are no weaker than those in the piloting department. Just like this Lin Cai who is an A-rank alpha. As for why they didn’t join the piloting department? Who knows? Everyone has their own ambitions and different routes they want to take.

Oh, and another thing! Everyone in the school knows that one cannot offend anyone in the medical department. After all, these are people who can patch up your most grievous wounds. If you offend a medical student, you better pray. The people of the medical department are known to hold grudges. They’ll give you medicines that will cause ten times the pain to treat your wounds and at that point one could only cry tears of regret.

Then you might ask, why not find someone else to treat your wounds? That’s because as long as you offend one student, you offend the entire department. The entire medical department is known to be very united. For example, a senior piloting student offended a freshman in the medical department. Apparently the senior was attracted by the other’s beauty and harassed them. As a result, when the senior was wounded and had to get his wounds treated, it just so happened that the freshmen’s brother was the one who operated on him. The brother then said something along the lines of, “Since you think you’re so tough, then you don’t need any anesthesia.” The screams that echoed throughout the operating room that day were traumatizing. After a few hours, apparently they gagged the senior’s mouth to stop him from completely ruining his vocal cords with all that screaming.

Afterwards, the school came to ask what happened but everyone replied that no such thing happened. The senior who had his mouth gagged also dared not to say anything. So the moral of the story was….one cannot mess with the medical department! This was an open secret throughout the academy.

However, the students in the medical department all have good characters. If all of them were that domineering and intimidating, they would have long dominated the academy, but in reality, they are all rather easy to get along with.

“Hello, I am Gu Anran, a student of the engineering department.”

“Hello, I am Hong Qingyi, and I am also a student of the engineering department, please take care of me.”

“I am Chi Mengyan,  a student in the piloting department. Please look after us for this event.”

“Mu Qingli, piloting department, please take good care of us.”

All of them introduced themselves, but it was only for Lin Cai’s sake as everyone already knew each other except her.

“Anran, do you want me to carry your luggage for you?” Mu Qingli was worried that Gu Anran would damage her body, and wanted to carry the backpack on Gu Anran’s back. The luggage isn’t that heavy in the first place as each suitcase only had about three sets of clothes, as everything else would be given to them by the school later. So carrying two luggages with six sets of clothes is nothing to alpha.

“It’s fine, you’ll have to carry the tents and food later. The clothes are not heavy at all, so it’s fine.” Gu Anran quickly refused, she didn’t want people to think she was a weak and squeamish little princess.

“Ok.” Mu Qingli understood Gu Anran’s intentions and then patted Gu Anran’s head with a smile before walking towards Chi Mengyan to go get their allocated resources from the school.

“Lin Cai, is it okay for you to bring so many things?” Hong Qingyu curiously approached Lin Cai, who was packing up her bag. Gu Anran also looked over and saw many different types of bottles and cans inside the suitcase.

“These are all made by myself. As long as they are self-made, we are allowed to bring it with us. Of course, the teacher must verify that we made it ourselves and we can only bring up to five kinds, the rest will have to be made on-site.” Lin Cai pointed to a certain part of a bottle. On it were at least five teachers’ signatures, which shows just how rigorous the verification was.

“Then what are you bringing?” Gu Anran bent down and asked.

“Internal and external healing medicine, anesthetics, stomach medicine, and inhibitors.” Lin Cai replied lightly.

“Inhibitor? What’s an inhibitor?” Hong Qingyi asked puzzledly.

“All of us have reached that age, so most of us will experience it soon. I’m bringing some, just in case.” Lin Cai patted the inhibitors lightly, her eyes glazing over slightly as if she had remembered something unpleasant.

“Anran, Qingyi, Lin Cai, it’s time to assemble on the spaceship.” Mu Qingli and Chi Mengyan came over with significantly larger backpacks.

“Let’s go, Lin Cai.” Gu Anran patted Lin Cai on the shoulder.

“En… I know.” Lin Cai pulled on her backpack and then followed Gu Anran towards Mu Qingli.

“So this is a spaceship!” Hong Qingyi exclaimed.

The spaceship looks more shocking up close. The last time Gu Anran saw one from afar, she thought it was about the size of a regular airplane. However, from up close, she could tell that it was bigger than ten airplanes combined! The military symbol was displayed proudly on it and the size of the spaceship showed off just exactly how wealthy the academy is.

The five of them were assigned to a small box that had 5 beds, a toilet, some sofas and other equipment. Everything was prepared ahead of time since the trip was expected to be at least 12 hours long.

“Anran, look!” Hong Qingyi pointed out the window excitedly. They were flying in space, and passed by one planet after another. There were also meteorites floating around them and the picturesque scene was something straight out of a sci-fi movie, yet the scene that can only be seen in the movies was now in front of them.

Gu Anran took a few photos and sent them to her sister and brother. They immediately responded along with free messages telling her to try her best during the excursion, which lightened Gu Anran’s mood.

“Do you want to rest a bit? There are still another 11 hours left, you should save your energy.” Mu Qingli asked Gu Anran and Hong Qingyi as she patted the beds beside her.

Gu Anran and Hong Qingyi are not people who would be overly excited because of this and they still have plenty of time left in the spaceship to admire the view later. Also, with the financial resources of their two families, they can take photos anytime they want to and go to space whenever they want to.

So they took a quick nap and by the time Gu Anran woke up, they were about half an hour away from their destination. She was still rubbing her confused eyes when she sat up and immediately someone handed her a warm white towel.

“Thank you.” Gu Anran smiled at Mu Qingli, who had handed her the towel, and took the towel to wipe his face as she jumped off the bed.

“Anran, come eat something!” Hong Qingyi yelled. There was now a big pot of noodles on the table and the fragrant scent of the food caused Gu Anran’s stomach to rumble.

“Quickly eat something.” Mu Qingli served Gu Anran a large bowl with lots of meat and vegetables, and even some egg cutlets in it.

“Where did you guys get this?” Gu Anran held the bowl and sat beside Hong Qingyi.

“It was in the refrigerator, and since we’re going to have to survive in the wilderness later, might as well boil all the noodles, vegetables and meat in the refrigerator. They’ll all go to waste anyways, and look, they even have a few eggs!” Hong Qingyi motioned towards the fridge.

Gu Anran, who had just had a sip of the soup, almost choked when she saw the refrigerator in question.  Hong Qingyi’s direction. It was now an empty box with many plastic wrappers for the meat and vegetables stuffed inside. Some of the wrappers were spilling out of the box, which showed just how much food was initially in it!

“Did you cook these noodles? They taste pretty good.” Gu Anran commented as she ate a mouthful of noodles.

“No. When I got up, they were already done.” Hong Qingyi shrugged.

“Ahem…really?” It wasn’t surprising that Gu Anran asked this question as the person in front of her has a master-grade cooking skill after all.

“Well, what they did really couldn’t be counted as cooking. When I woke up, I saw them boil some water and then throw the noodles, vegetables and meat in. If I wasn’t there to remind them to add salt and some seasonings, what you’ll be eating now will be an authentic mess.” Hong Qingyi added faintly.

“Pfff…..” Gu Anran looked at the three embarrassed people in front of her. Even the expressionless Lin Cai was showing a slightly awkward expression.

“It’s fine, at least it’s still edible and not burnt…..” However, she didn’t expect that the other three people would lower their heads even more right after she said this sentence.

“They burnt three pots. This pot is the only one that survived.” Hong Qingyi explained without looking at her.”

“…????” Gu Anran smiled awkwardly. Was she sleeping too deeply? She didn’t notice any burnt smells.

So it turns out that the three alphas who have never been in the kitchen before had decided to make a delicious meal for the two omegas. Of course, the two that had the most motivation were Mu Qingli and Chi Mengyan. Lin Cai just came for the show.

But they soon encountered a problem! How does one turn on the fire?

Mu Qingli almost broke the stove’s fire switch but fire still didn’t come out. They had no other choice but to consult the internet. Whenever it was on land or in space, the internet was the most convenient search tool!

After a few more minutes, they finally got the fire to ignite.

Then they put a pot on the stove and….threw all the ingredients they could find into the pot. That’s right, they directly threw it into the empty pot!

As expected, they failed the first time and the ingredients came out as a black ashes…..

Then the second time, Lin Cai tried adding some water, but the water dried out. The ingredients on the bottom were cooked, but not the top and the water dried too quickly. So the food on the bottom was still a scorched mess. Who would dare to eat something like that? No one of course….

Then for the third time, Chi Mengyan had refused to give up, and filled the pot with water, threw in the ingredients and when she finished….put the lid on. She then went to do something else. An hour later, Mu Qingli suddenly remembered about the pot and opened the lid to find….that the food had become a ball of blackness and the water had dried up to present an unknown object…..

“At least….you didn’t blow up the kitchen! Not bad, not bad! When I entered the kitchen my first time, it exploded due to a grease fire. It’s alright, you all did better than me.” Gu Anran comforted them and breathed a sigh of relief when the three alphas’ expressions lightened.

“Hurry up and eat….we need to get off soon.” Hong Qingyi glanced at the time, and urged Gu Anran to hurry up.

“I know, I know.” Gu Anran nodded quickly and speeded up her eating. She didn’t want to participate in an excursion with an empty stomach after all.
