The Transmigration Missions Are Not Scientific Ch.76

Chapter 76- ABO Interstellar (6)

“Whoa! Anran, Qingyi, what are you two doing?” Chi Mengyan entered the courtyard with Mu Qingli following behind with a box of food in her hands.

“Practicing our mental power.” Hong Qingyi shrugged and said.

At this moment, there were 128 parts flying in the sky (64 for Gu Anran and 64 for Hong Qingyi respectively) and they were circling in the air around the two.

After two days of practice, the two of them could now easily and comfortably control this many parts with just their mental power. As of now, one could say that their mental power was as familiar as their left and right hands to them.

“Why aren’t you assembling the pieces?” Mu Qingli knew that the two were very talented and every time she visited, she saw the two practices. Apart from the two of them, only one other omega, according to rumors he was an SSS-grade, was able to control their mental power this easily.

SS-level mental power is quite powerful as individuals with that power can roughly control about 60 pieces. Those around S-level can control about 50 and finally, those of A-level can control around 40 pieces.

However, someone like Hong Qingyi with an SS-level mental power that can already be regarded as outstanding was able to be almost on par as an SSS-grade omega as with a little bit of work she was able to surpass all the benchmarks for SS-level mental power.

“We want to assemble it but the seniors above us have warned us not to assemble it all at once. Although mechas may look strong on the outside, that’s only because they have a strong outer shell their insides are rather fragile. Otherwise, how else is a mecha able to perform such intricate and delicate movements?” Gu Anran explained.

Mu Qingli and Chi Mengyan looked at each other. They never expected that assembling a mecha was so troublesome.

“Then what are you supposed to do? I imagine that you can’t just keep them floating in the air like that.” Chi Mengyan asked as she pointed at the pieces in the air and that at the parts on the ground.

“Why not try assembling at least once or twice to gain some experience? Anyhow, you only need to assemble three sets when you hand in the homework. So that means there will be many chances for you to try your hand at assembly. Not to mention, you don’t have to assemble it all at once, you can do it one stage at a time, starting from the inside and work your way to the outside pieces.”

The two of them were enlightened. Why did they not think of this before! Since it’s too hard for beginners to assemble a mecha all at once, they can start by slowly assembling one part after another!

“Wow, Mengyan is so smart.” Hong Qingyi patted Chi Mengyan on the shoulder with a grin.

“Alright, enough practicing, let’s eat first and then try assembling it in the afternoon. One must make sure to eat on time and maintain their physical strength if they wish to do well.” Mu Qingli set down the last plate in her hand and then shouted at the three of them to come over.

“Coming.” Her wifey has called for her, so naturally, Gu Anran will answer her call and hurry over. On the table were a small mountain of food, about ten plates with half being meat dishes and the other half being vegetables. There were also three big jugs of juice on the side. On earth, this amount of food was enough to feed close to twenty people or maybe even more.

However, neither Gu Anran nor Hong Qingyi commented on the portion size as they’ve already become used to it. In fact, when Gu Anran first voiced her doubts, Chi Mengyan gave her a strange look and even Mu Qingli’s expression was somewhat awkward.

Then….she watched as all the food disappeared before their eyes, even the juice was guzzled down like water. Even after those two had eaten basically all the food, they were still not full and asked for some of her meat jerky snacks.

Pigs! Pigs! Pigs! Alphas were simply pigs! This difference between omegas and alphas in appetites was just too big. When an omega is full, an alpha is starving! Not to mention, since they’re focused on eating they can’t talk much as that was considered as very rude behavior. Therefore, unless they were a couple or close relatives, it is rare for an alpha and omega to talk during meals.

In a blink of an eye, the four finished their meal. Gu Anran and Hong Qingyi wanted to continue practicing while Mu Qingli and Chi Mengyan stayed behind to read their books and watch them practice. However, an uninvited guest soon arrived and broke the peace.

“Little Ran, your big brother is here!” A familiar voice sounded out before a figure appeared. Gu Anlun burst into the courtyard with a few people following behind him. However, when he saw Chi Mengyan and Mu Qingli in the yard the smile on his face disappeared.

Gu Anran shouted ‘Not good!’ in her heart after seeing Gu Anlun’s expression and quickly raised a smile on her face.

“Brother, these are some new friends I’ve made here at the academy. This is Mu Qingli from the mecha piloting department and she is an SSS-grade alpha. This is Chi Mengyan, also from the mecha piloting department, and an SS-grade alpha.

“Oh?” Gu Anulan raised his eyebrows and his expression lightened into a relieved look when he heard their ratings. It seems that strength was an important thing in this world and even the royal family would think twice before offending two students with such great potential. However, that does not mean that this sis-con will easily agree to his little sister being taken away from him!

“Little sister, let me tell you something! Even if you make friends with an alpha, you have to keep a certain distance. Alphas are not good people and you must understand that except for your big brother and sister, you must never let any other alpha into your dormitory! Alphas are all beasts, so it will not be a good thing if you let them in and who knows when they will suddenly go berserk from their impulses. After all, my little sister is so cute, so hard to resist….”

A few black lines appeared on Gu Anran’s face. Did this man really just put down the existence of all alphas? The most evolved and superior form of the human race? He’s an alpha himself, is it good for him to belittle his kind in this way?!

Not only Gu Anran, but also Hong Qingyi, Mu Qingli, Chi Mengyan, and the people Gu Anlun brought were all staring speechlessly at Gu Anlun.

Ahem…..Brother, why are you here today….” Gu Anran interrupted Gu Anlun’s monologue with a dry cough and changed the subject.

“Ah! I almost forgot! Quick, quick, come over here.” Gu Anlun waved behind him, and the people he brought immediately stood in a row in front of Gu Anran. Of course, they all kept their distance from her otherwise having a bunch of high-level alphas so close to Gu Anran would overwhelm her, even if she is an SSS-grade omega.

“These are all excellent alphas from the mecha piloting department that your brother has carefully screened and selected for you. Each of their mental powers is at least at the S-level! Xue Yong and Li Ying over here even have an SS-level mental power. Since you must choose a partner in about five days, your brother had specifically brought these fine candidates over to you.” Gu Anlun said with a smile.

Picking a partner? Wasn’t this more like picking cabbages at the market? Gu Anran looked at the five young people standing in front of her. Some were earnest, some strange, and some full of arrogance, but all of them held a desire for her in their eyes as they looked at her. It really made her feel uncomfortable

“Five days? We’re choosing partners in five days?” Gu Anran ignored the alphas in front of her. She felt that she was already showing courtesy by not dumping the juice in her hands into their nasty faces.

“Eh? Little Ran, you didn’t know?” At this moment, another voice rang out and her sister, Gu Anxin, came over with a woman, who was just a little bit shorter than herself, following her.

Gu Anran knew the woman behind her sister. She was someone who grew up with Gu Anxin and her sister was childhood friends with the woman, just like Gu Anran was with Hong Qingyi. The only difference was that the two of them practically raised Gu Anran and Hong Qingyi in their parent’s stead. The woman is named Huang Linfan, an SS-grade omega and the daughter of the current Empress’s sister. Basically, Gu Anran’s cousin.

“Sister, Huang-jie.” Gu Anran smiled.

“Gu-jie, Huang-jie.” Hong Qingyi also greeted them with a smile.

“Long time no see, how long has it been? A month?” Huang Linfan patted their two heads with a comforting smile.

“Huang-jie, you’ve been paired with Gu-jie?” Hong Qingyi asked with a mischievous smile as she looked the two of them up and down.

“Y-you, little brat….you’re the same as always.” Huang Linfan blushed and then pinched Hong Qingyi’s ears ruthlessly.

The appearance of a blushing Huang Linfan caused the alphas still standing in a line to swallow nervously and the corners of their eyes turned a little red.

“Alright, enough.”  Gu Anxin stretched out her arm to wrap it around Huang Linfan’s waist so that Huang Linfan was leaning against her arms. When she looked up, her eyes were filled with ice and the promise of murder as she glanced at the five alphas and at the same time, she began to release an invisible pressure that belonged exclusively to an SS-level alpha.

In an instant, three of the S-level alphas went pale and their bodies trembled in fear. Meanwhile, the two SS-level alphas were still okay, but cold sweat glistened on their faces. It seems that even if the mental power is on the same level, there is still a difference in power.

“The lot of you, get out! How dare you covet after my sister-in-law! Beat it!” Gu Anlun frowned and yelled ferociously at the five people. The alphas left hurriedly without saying another word.

Huh? By doing this, isn’t her sister basically slapping her brother’s face? Will a battle between royals break out? No, that will be too troublesome! Although Gu Anran was panicking on the inside, the reality was actually much more different than she thought.

“How were you able to pick up such garbage? Why would you let such trash come here?” Gu Anxin nonchalantly grabbed a few chairs and asked.

“Tsk, if it weren’t for those old officials who want to welcome Little Ran into their homes as their granddaughter-in-law, I wouldn’t have done it either! However, they relied on two generations worth of achievements and veterans to force my hand! Haha, but in the end, the decision is still up to Little Ran! They can’t do anything if she doesn’t choose them! Anyhow, they were only supposed to show their faces to Little Ran today, that’s all.” Gu Anlun shrugged and sat down leisurely as he crossed his legs. The anger he had on his face just now was completely replaced by a relaxed expression.

Whaaa…this brother and sister pair made quite a pair of black-bellies.

“I’ve made a fool of myself in front of both of you, my apologies.”

Gu Anxin sat down and pulled down Huang Linfan to the chair beside her and then finally raised her eyebrows at the two alpha students in the yard.

Mu Qingli, who was still bewildered by the situation just now, suppressed the bitter feelings that suddenly aroused earlier when she saw those alphas stand in front of Gu Anran and smiled as she nodded at Gu Anxin.

“Hello, my name is Mu Qingli. I am a student of the mecha piloting department.”

“And I am Chi Mengyan, and like Qingli, I am a student of the mecha piloting department.”

“How did you guys meet?” Gu Anlun propped her chin in her hand and observed the two of them with sharp eyes. Seeing that the two of them looked back at her with ease and without any fear, her evaluation of them increased in her heart.

“This….” Mu Qingli hesitated, the first time the four of them met wasn’t under the best circumstances…..

“Hmm? Is there something unspeakable about the way you met?” Gu Anxin’s eyes looked at Mu Qingli thoughtfully and then scanned over the other three. Suddenly, she said with widened eyes’,

“Could it be that they are what brother said just now….a pair of beasts!”

“…..”
